  We stayed here for 5 nights as part of a 14 night scenic rail holiday with The Swiss Travel Company. The hotel is in a great location 5 minutes walk from the train station and supermarket and there are some good restaurants nearby. Our room was lovely with a great balcony, where we drank our wine and watched the paragliders each evening. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided and refreshed each day. There is a small safe in the wardrobe.The breakfast buffet had scrambled eggs and baked beans in addition to the usual continental choice of bread, cheese, meat etc.Our hosts were friendly and chatty and we felt very welcome. We had a wonderful time in Interlaken and would happily return to Hotel Dr la Paix.

  Quiet and comfy

  Wonderful hotel in a quiet neighborhood of Interlacken. This hotel was perfect for our stay and features an attentive staff with clean, comfortable rooms. The hotel is conveniently just a few blocks from shopping and the town center providing a quiet stay while still being too far off the beaten path. This property also includes free parking which is a great benefit in Interlacken where parking is scarce. The only negatives were the basic breakfast by European standards with the exact same menu every day, and the electrical outlets in the rooms. The hotel is a refurbished, older building so the number of outlets is limited and they are difficult to access. I would recommend the ownership purchase table top mounted multi-outlets and place them on the night stands. These could plug into the wall and save your guests from having to crawl under the tables and beds to access the wall outlets.

  This was the ideal pad for three nights based out of Interlaken. Very close to the railway station. Great breakfast (same everyday but still quite good and reasonably priced too) and staff especially the ones on the reception and the breakfast staff (i remember the lady with the turban was especially sweet, forgive me for forgetting the name). First impressions - the hotel is neat and very well decorated. Tasteful decor. We used the garden area as well for hangout the day of arrival. Our daughter loved their dog as well. Will recommend.

  Great hotel in a lovely town

  This hotel is in an ideal location, just a few minutes easy walk from Interlaken West train station in a quiet part of the town. It is a spotlessly clean hotel with very welcoming and helpful hosts. We had a very comfortable room which was on the top floor with spectacular views of the Alps. There was a lovely breakfast with high quality food and beverages.The hosts were very friendly and helpful, providing service beyond what we would expect when we had a couple of requests. They were so nice and helped to ensure that we had a great holiday. We highly recommend this hotel. Also Interlaken is an ideal location for visiting the Alps of the Bernese Oberland and it is a very nice town in itself, with some lovely old architecture and plenty of nice restaurants and shops.

  Fraud and terrible - DE LA PAIX INTERLAKEN

  This is a serious complain and should be noted and acted upon immediately.We, a family of three, me my daughter and my wife, arrived at Interlaken west rail station and crossed the road over to our BOOKED AND PAID FOR THREE NIGHTS- HOTEL DE LA PAIX at the end of the BERNASTRASSE street interlaken.There was a man at the reception, who I later found out to be THE OWNER HIMSELF, he greeted us weirdly and I immediately knew something was wrong. He started making up stories that his boss is not picking up the phone and all. He told us we can’t check in as he doesn’t have a room! According to him, our booking, fully paid for three nights, did not show our child (our 6 years old daughter). Due to this stupid reason he refused us our money refund as well as the room !!Then I went to the Tourist Information and met Ms. Evelyn Kellenberger. I explained to her in detail what had happened and she also got very confused. She then called this hotel and talked directly to this man ( the owner himself). There was an argument between them as Evelyn tried to convince him to allow us in as it was already past 6 pm in the evening. She told me he misbehaved with her too on the phone.I urgently got another hotel at double the price booked nearly by the name of HOTEL BELLEVUE and currently we are staying here till 24th oct. It’s a really nice place and the people are great.Lastly, but not the least, you will not believe it but when I returned to this PATHETIC HOTEL DE LA PAIX to collect my wife and daughter, THAT RASCAL HAD PUSHED THEM OUT OF THE HOTEL!!! They were standing on the road in the chilly winds!! Our bags were also thrown out. I confronted him with this and started threatening me too. Then I called the police at 112. Two officers arrived. They talked to him and then told us he did not do anything criminal and anger is not something punishable by law.This man and this hotel is a fraud. Beware and inform the authorities. The agent through which I booked also called and talked to him and they also had a quarrel on the phone.Because of this Fraud, I feel very disappointed and disheartened as to the way guests got treated here.Not much regards but prayers for your guidance.Saad Bin AzizBooking number of hotel de la Paix 48521539
