Location

This attractive hotel enjoys a central location, by the well-known mountain path. It offers a wonderful view of the high green meadows and the famous Jungfrau. Public transport is situated just 500 m away.

The hotel was built in 1814. The hotel has 68 rooms, including 7 suites, 16 single rooms and 42 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a transfer service, 24-hour room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Rooms

    Sleepless nights!!!

    Unfortunately behind the clean rooms some of the stuff could not be polite to the customers when they trying to explain that they haven’t slept for the last two nights due to very loud noise coming from the street : cars, trucks and even just people walking by you can hear everything, it’s just like sleeping outside, even with closed windows. Tried to change the room and been faced with very rough lady at the reception. Hopefully they will do something about it.

    Very conveniently located near the train station. Easy 15mins walk. Friendly staff throughout. The corner suite was a very spacious room with huge bathroom. Good size balcony with a table and 2 chairs. Free mini bar was provided upon check in but does not get replenish if you stay more than one night. Breakfast was limited compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in Switzerland. The suite we booked had beautiful street and park view where we can watch the paragliders land. Would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

    The junior suites DO NOT HAVE A FUNCTIONAL SHOWER. A horrible experience.

    We upgraded to the Junior suite thinking we would spoil ourselves. Little did we know this would be a huge disappointment. Whilst the room was large and well appointed, the main reason why I have scored this hotel so low with a two star review is for the following reason:THERE IS NO FUNCTIONAL SHOWERhard to believe, the brochures say there is a shower but there is no shower in the huge poorly designed bathroom. There is only a bath. Now there is a nozzle but it is attached to a flexible hose on the bath. The only way to try to shower yourself is to hold the nozzle in one hand whilst trying to apply soap from a two handed canister. They even provide a sit down stool so you can sit down whilst showering - this makes you feel like a handicapped person needing special needs. Not only that, but the sink had a horrible rough application appliedover the porcelain. This is a disaster and totally ruined our experience at this hotel. DO NOT RESERVE THE JUNIOR SUITES FOR THIS REASON ALONE. the bathroom needs to be renovated urgently.

    Wonderful Stay at Hotel Du Nord

    We stayed three nights at Hotel Du Nord and had a great experience. We arrived early, cold, and wet from our trip from Lucerne, and Andrea at reception kindly let us check in since our room was ready.Our room was spacious with a lovely park view, and we enjoyed watching the paragliders land outside. Breakfast was standard but elevated by the option to order freshly cooked eggs or omelettes from the kitchen. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did miss clearing our rubbish on Day 2, but it was minor compared to all the positives.We appreciated the complimentary first round of minibar items. The location was excellent—an easy walk to the train station, even with luggage.Overall, a comfortable and welcoming stay. We would gladly return on our next visit to Interlaken.     Wonderful Hotel in Interlaken

    If you staying in Interlaken looking for a 4-star hotel, make sure you check out Hotel Du Nord. I researched many hotels in the area and so wasn't sure how this one would turn out. The rooms are clean, comfortable with plenty of room to put your luggage and other stuff. The bathrooms have roomy counter space. The room has 5-star amenities like robe and slippers, and a full complement of amenities. The front desk service was friendly and helpful. The rooms include a good breakfast selection in the price of the room. The location was only 5minute walk from Interlaken OST (make sure you get off the right train station as there is an Interlaken West). I highly recommend this hotel.
