    Very poor hotel that is undergoing renovations and is really just stressful not a relaxing site. I cannot recommend this hotel to anybody except somebody who wants to be hassled during a short holiday. The construction is likely to go on till 2027 and that would not book this hotel till after that date but even then I don't trust their honesty.     Oh, where do I even begin with my delightful stay at the “Four-Star” Grand Hotel and Centre Thermal? Let's start with the room: who needs air conditioning when you can experience the authentic, sticky embrace of summer? The management has thoughtfully provided a fan which does an excellent job of making sure you can't sleep. And who wouldn't love the rustic charm of opening the windows to let in a cool breeze, only to be greeted by the soothing sounds of the local Yverdonians choice of auto exhaust systems and subwoofers? Let's talk about the amenities. An iron? Please, this is a four-star establishment—what do you think this is, a hotel that actually cares about your appearance? Wrinkles are in, and nothing says “I’ve spent the night in opulent comfort” like stepping out in clothes that look like they’ve been inside a travel bag.The bathroom? Plastic cups, one bar of soap and a shampoo dispenser affixed to the tiles. The hallways? Oh, they’re a masterpiece. The stained carpets tell a thousand stories. The walls, with their artistic array of scratches and scuffs, are a visual diary of the staff’s ability to navigate a housekeeping cart.And then there’s the outdoor area, which offers a unique take on landscaping—namely, the "let's see what happens if we do nothing" approach. Weeds in the paving stones poolside? Check. Bird poop on the furniture? You bet. Cracked paint and rust? Done. The once-grand facade now sports a charming, faded look that whispers, "We had our heyday, but who needs maintenance anyway?" The look and feel of the Grand Hotel is “tired”. Its Four Star rating has expired in my opinion.On the plus side, the classic massage was wonderful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast buffet was adequate, but it would have been nice to have a chef available at an egg station. In summary, if you're looking for a stay that combines the charm of a bygone era with all the discomforts of modern living, the “Four-Star” Grand Hotel is your dream destination. Just don't forget to pack a sense of humor—and maybe an iron.     Horrible thermal experience

    do not waste your time at the thermal baths. It is nothing but a pace for locals and kids to go. The lounge chairs are on grass and weeds with bushes all around that aren’t even properly trimmed so you don’t even have a view of the water. The Jacuzzis are not even warm. The pool is full of kids. There’s nothing Spa like or relaxing or beautiful about this at all. seems to be a place for locals to go in the summer.     Some strange little touches

    The hotel and spa are nice (under renovation but doesn’t really interfere).However, they have some strange little touches - you are only allowed 2 coffee capsules and 2 bottles of water whether you stay for 1 night or 4! Doesn’t make any sense, and unnecessary saving money!     Good hotel with interconnected rooms for family use. Although it may need some renovation, it offers comfortable rooms with balconies and comfortable beds. The restaurant is not bad, but it could have a bit more variety in the dishes, especially for children. The indoor pool was under repair, and the outdoor ones were a bit crowded. It's a pet-friendly hotel, and the staff is very nice, especially Katherine at the reception.
