This familial hotel is close to the centre of Lucerne just a few minutes walk from the promenade beside the Lake of Lucerne. Links to the public transport network are to be found in the near vicinity (100 m away) and the main train station is also just a short walk away.

The complex was built in 1908. The hotel welcomes guests in a 5-storey building with a lift and 46 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     Hotel Central Luzern is in a great location for exploring Lucerne. It is close to the train station as well as the Chapel Bridge. There are many restaurants in the area. Our room was a "double room cosy". It was cozy but adequate. The bathroom was small, clean, and functional for one person. The one problem I encountered was with the hair dryer. You had to squeeze the handle with just enough pressure to make it run. Otherwise, it would turn off. I asked for a replacement and was told all of their hair dryers functioned that way. The breakfast room was open for our use all day, with coffee, water, and tea available. We enjoyed sitting on the small balcony accessible from the breakfast room. The breakfast offerings were delicious. No hot items were offered, other than toast, which you could make for yourself.

    Charming hotel in a fantastic location to explore Lucern! I stayed in a “cosy single” and it was cosy! But it was very comfortable and quiet. The stay includes a wonderful breakfast with all kinds of pastries, cheese, fruit and other good things. Coffee is available all day long as well. The hotel had the vibe of staying in a friend’s house. I would definitely recommend.

    Lovely hotel in a perfect location just minutes from the train station. It was our wedding anniversary and we were upgraded and the staff had all signed a card. It was such a lovely gesture. The breakfast was enough to set us up for the day and it is great that you can use the breakfast room at any time and help yourself to tea, coffee and water and sit out on the balcony. There is also a fridge if you want to store food. The bed was really comfy and the room quiet.

    I stayed at Hotel Central Luzern for 2 nights in their single room "cosy." The room is quite spacious for a single, and my 3rd floor room faces the back which means it is extremely quiet! Bathroom is on the small side which is quite typical. There is an in-room safe. Bed is comfortable.Location is excellent! Only a 2-min walk from the train station. Breakfast room is bright and spacious, and the breakfast is a nice generous spread. During the day the breakfast room is open to guests for lounging, reading, playing card games. They also have self-serve coffee and tea all day in that room, which is a very nice perk.Before my arrival I received an email from the hotel to download the Lucerne visitors pass. I did not end up using it but probably handy for other guests.I would definitely consider staying here again!

    Great location! Close to the old town. Basic room. The biggest issue was the hot water in the shower was a dribble. I told them about it after the first shower, but nothing was done for the 4 nights we were there. No AC. The window opened to a small deck, but there was so much noise on the street below, we had to keep it shut, so the room got too hot. The breakfast was good.
