This pleasant hotel enjoys a superb location in the heart of Lucerne. The train station is a just a few paces away and Lake Lucerne is also in the immediate vicinity.

The hotel was built in 1900. The hotel welcomes guests in a 6-storey building with 2 lifts and 99 non-smoking rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     A good hotel central to all Lucerne has to offer

    We stayed at this hotel on a half board basis at the end of May 2026. We were on a walking holiday via Inghams. The breakfasts were as expected although the absence of muesli was surprising. We made do with granola which was fine. The evening meal in the attached restaurant provided 5 of the expected meals. One absence we knew about (Sunday) but the restaurant closure on the Monday took as by surprise. The Pentecost? We had to engineer a refund with the hotel via our rep, Karen, who was very good. The hotel was clean and modern. Our bedroom (202) was facing to the back so very quiet overnight. As no air conditioning we had a fan provided which was OK. The week we spent in Lucerne saw temperatures reaching 32c every day. Must have been close to 25c in our room. Hotel close to all amenities. The railway station a 2 minute walk as was the bus central station. By and large as good week.     Would not stay at this hotel.

    Stayed at this hotel for one night. Took a shower the morning I was leaving. Set the temperature at the middle and started my shower. For the first 10 seconds the temperature was fine, then I was hit with scalding hot water and immediately turned the shower off. Ended up taking the rest of the shower using low water pressure and only keeping the water running for a few seconds at a time. Note the water at this point was either scalding hot or ice cold. Cannot recommend staying at this hotel based on this experience. Rated the hotel a 3 based on the location and friendly staff.     Perfectly placed for rail travel

    This hotel is directly across the road from the main station and Lake access. It suited our needs perfectly as we arrived by boat & left by train. The room was ideal with a lovely modern en-suite . The breakfast was ideal; plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend as very central indeed.     Very central, large room, easy access to old town Lucerne.

    Large rooms, very accessible location for trains and the old town sights, boat cruises, etc. As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is a heritage building and can't upgrade to add air conditioning. It was early May so the temperature was OK. There is an outside nightclub in the next block which is noisy until around 10 PM but quiet after that. There are no closets in the room but there is a storage unit. We asked for and were provided with a kettle and a fan. Staff were polite and courteous.     With such a large group checking in at the same time, the front desk staff handled the situation professionally and patiently assisted each guest in settling in quickly. The rooms were clean and cozy, with excellent amenities, and the hotel's central location was very convenient. I truly appreciated that they allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel, which spared us from carrying it on our short trip to Wengen. This made the trip much more enjoyable for everyone.I would especially like to thank Noraly and Nadim for going above and beyond to help my teammates resolve their issues.
