    Horrible service

    rating08 Jun 2026

Even though Switzerland is expensive, if you pay close to $1000 for two nights, you expect some basic things. The room was nice and big which was the only advantage to the hotel. The service is terrible. Let me start with the worst thing. At 8 am, I was sleeping and was awoken by two window cleaners staring in my room at me in bed. I wasn’t dressed appropriately to get up and close the shades. The men were there 20 minutes. Do you think the hotel could have warned their guests the night before? Of course they didn’t. Horrible way to wake up and stuck like that for 20 minutes. Furthermore, the restaurant is terrible. No wonder it’s empty. I asked at reception upon checking in if I could buy an ice coffee. The man told me “that would be nice, but we don’t have that.” He told me to go to Starbucks with all the good coffee shops in Lucerne! The desk had ZERO restaurant recommendations. I also had half full beauty products on the table that housekeeping threw away! Not even water replaced for nearly $500 a night. Very disappointed and the “exposure” to window washers at 8 am and for 20 minutes, the worst!

I would not stay again. I felt it was all about presentation.

This place presents well with many modern features including a robot delivery system however the service was lacking. They have a bar fridge in the room, but not does not keep cold. A kettle for tea/ coffee but no milk. Staff not helpful. Breakfast was very good once you can find what you are looking for. Close to train station.

Great front office staff. Very accomodating and friendly. Breakfast was excellent! Shout out to Adeline for serving us the best capuccino and omelette! The room was comfy and spacious enough to relax after a long day of travel.

Convenient Location. Terrible Front Desk Experience

    rating15 Apr 2026

As a Radisson Membership I had a decent rate to stay at this hotelLocation is really convenient near the train station and lake with a decent lakeview viewBut our family visit was marred by an atrocious incident of arrogance & unprofessionalism by the front desk:Came initially quite early to drop bags and explore Lucerne. All fineWas accidentally overcharged by a lot.Fair enough I picked up the error and the junior colleague profusely apologised and offered a complimentary gesture to amke uo for it - all good.Came back for check in and firstly the room upgrade I was due as part of status (confirmed earlier) there was apparently no record. I explained Id been in morning, all this was confirmed as well as the complimentary add-oddFlat denialSo I showed my credit card statement online to prove what I was saying She then decided to ring the colleague who on shift (in front of me) to ask about the incident and was I offered the free breakfast add-oddHe remembered the person who made the error but not anything elseSo Assistant manager called called- doesnt bother to introduce themselves "You are only premier. We only do these things for VIP - not a chance it is for you" and walked awayIm stood at the front desk having spent £500, been overcharged £1000 and they think I am trying to con a £25 breakfast?? She clearly realised something was going wrong as she started to offer free drinks etc didnt make the payment for the add-ons saying it would be done "later"At checkout I paid first then explained the disgraceful behaviour of prior evening and attempts at humiliation. Pointed out I was only mentioning this AFTER ive paid as it was never about a small amount of money but uncivilised and unprofessional, crass behaviour. She apologised profusely tbf Won't be coming back

    Good all rounder

    rating25 Mar 2026

On arriving at my room, I was slightly amazed at its location - It overlooked a huge area of train sidings / So, having requested a quiet room, I thought it wouldn't be. It turned out to be not too bad. -In the evenings/ nights, there was occasional rumbling noise, like that of a generator - I don't know if this was a train locomotive or maybe even a tourist boat, testing things - there were several parked on the lake out the front. So the room overlooked, primarily, across the train tracks, and about 40% of it looked at the lake (double aspect/ the corner of the building). I was on floor 5, and above, on floors 6 and 7 are private residences (not the Radisson hotel) - There was occasional minor noise, but nothing too awful. Anyway, this all grew on me, as it wasn't too bad, noise wise ..and the room was huge and well appointed (though the bed was a little firm for my liking). The staff love to say how the building is noise insulated, as there is double glazing, but, as everyone knows, not all noise and rumblings can be kept out. The staff here are very nice and helpful, and not in a phony way (sometimes indicative of hotel chains), but in a genuine way. - Full marks to them. The food was very good. I'd certainly consider returning to this hotel, if I come to Luzern again.
