    Bad service hardly even describes the event

    We arrived at 13.40 for lunch. It look a while to get the menu but we were eventually able to order. We both had veal. My friend’s dish arrived after 40 minutes: mine did not arrive at all! I complained and someone (who didn’t bother to identify herself) gave us some waffle about being very busy and a rather abrupt apology- no suggestion of anything off the price- she did then order it but it too another half hour to arrive. By this time my friend had long finished hers. The veal was good. About that no complaints but the service… blimey. And don’t think this is a cheap place. It was nearly 100 pounds for just two veal dishes and water! The view is good but can you eat that?

    Our stay at the Seehof was pleasant but way overpriced - even for Switzerland. We arrived for checkin at the right time but were told we would have to wait at least an hour as they were short staffed. We were given a voucher to spend while we waited but we couldn’t even have a coffee each without paying extra. The restaurant supervisor (young lady with long blonde hair) had a serious “attitude” issue & was completely uninterested when we spoke to her during our stay.The terrace at the front of the hotel had a lovely view of the lake but there wasn’t anywhere comfortable to sit other than in the restaurant area.

    Hotel is located in a beautiful town, great views of the lake and mountains pilatus. The rooms are a bit small with low ceilings due to its historic nature. Bery clean and has sufficient amenities. Breakfast is fantastic. Parking is limited.

    The hotel has an old school restaurant offering a set menu on weekdays. There is also a large terrace outside. We enjoyed our consommé, fish and chocolate pudding. The service is impeccable and there's a choice of wines by the glass. The view from our window table was perfect.

    Very friendly staff, cute hotel, and located next to boat taxi and bus station. The view is wonderful.I do wish there was a safe in the room. It is a bit inconvenient to carry all valuables all the time and safes are very much appreciated.The shower was clean but the mechanism to hold the shower head in place did not work well. It would always spin and drop. I had to get wet, turn water off, soap up, then turn water back on to rinse off. This was very minor, but is the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.Overall it is a clean hotel, with very friendly staff, and is located conveniently to transportation.
