    Perfect for family visit to Lugano

    What a great hotel and only 15 minutes walk to the centre of Lugano or 5 minutes to the lake. Free buses (which we used) and you can also walk to the funicular Paradiso to take in the views from San Salvadore. Hotel is clean and comfortable, pool and breakfast is excellent. Garage parking was useful so was the secure bike storage. We had two rooms next to each other for the children.     Accused of stealnig breakfast!!!!!!!

    Check in person was about as warm as an ice cube. Demanded our passports which was weird as we had been travelling for 30 days and had not been asked for this ever. Was the manner in which she asked and carried herself. Just abrupt and robotic.. Was not friendly at all. The room was very "okay". In need of updating and some deep clean. The wallpaper was peeling and there were some bad glue jobs that were kind of creepy. Looked like some sort of bug had been glued into the base board. View was nice from our room. Worst part of the two night stay was when we went to check out the front desk person (Richard or Richardo) said we had to settle up a couple things like breakfast and the city tax. I told him we didn't have the breakfast as we never get it as we rarely eat breakfast. He said, "well ...how about the second day????" I said, "No....we did not have the breakfast!" With this he said, "Well someone said they saw you eating breakfast." I said firmly, "we did not have breakfast!" Thinking back the reality of this is I hardly think someone said, "When that Canadian couple check out I bet they will say they didn't have breakfast!!!!" Is this just a ploy to call people out that may have stolen breakfast. In retrospect I should have demanded to speak to the manager and ask for compensation for this act!!All in all not impressed at all with the hotel and would not return. Room was priced high for what it was. 18 CHF for parking that was easy

    Lovely hotel, clean and quiet. Small balcony with partial lake view. The woman at front desk was friendly and welcoming, very nice. Large breakfast room with large buffet including a machine that made fresh squeezed orange juice, what a fun and wonderful surprise!     Short but nice stay

    I had a very short stay in this hotel. I arrived late and departed early the next morning. However, the room was very clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable. Spacious room. I had messaged the hotel via WhatsApp as I noted that it was closing at 22:00 and I did not arrive until 23:00 however the hotel were very accommodating and made sure I got checked in which I was so grateful for. Staff friendly upon check out and I was given some food recommendations for late at night as there was no vending machine in the hotel. Would like to return here for a longer stay.     Fantastic hotel in a great location (20 min walk or easy #2 bus from city center, 5 min from lake front parks). Clean, good breakfast, friendly and very helpful staff. Excellent value. Our room for three had regular room with a separate 1p bedroom attached. Both rooms had balconies looking out toward the lake. Beautiful.
