    Best in Class for a Highway Hotel

    I would probably not Igive this hotel a top rating if rated for against all hotels I have ever stayed in. BUT, I will say that for a one or two night stay for a road side hotel. This is by far the best I have ever stayed at. The staff was super friendly, the ingress and egress (in and out) super easy, the food next door at the Marche was top notch. I mean for a road side eatery the Marche is also best in class. The hotel price point was on the mark and for Switzerland it was cheap. The all you can eat is expensive (29 Euros per person) but first it is Switzerland so you everything is over priced. Second, you will end up spending that amount if you order a la carte. If you are hungry and you want good quality and a fairly reasonable Swiss price then definitely take the all you can eat from the reception when they offer it. The room was modern, tasteful and and beds were comfortable enough. They do offer complimentary water, coffee, tea in the lobby and in the morning they have big Croissants and coffee which is enough especially after a huge dinner the evening before. We will definitely use this hotel again on our trips south to Italy. Well Done and hats off to Hotel Bellinzona Sud.

    We are on our way tot Italy and stayed one night at the Hotel Belinzonna Sud. We had 2 double rooms. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, they spoke perfectly english! The rooms were nice and very clean. The bathrooms were tiny but useful. The rooms were at the back of the hotel, so no noice from the highway! Next to the hotel was a restaurant and a coop shop.In the hall you could get free tea, coffee, water (and croissants in the morning). We would definitely stay here again next time!

    Hotel is located ca. 5 miles south of Bellinzona. Easy access, good parking. Reception area good, but the staff was a bit confused about details. All rooms face east, away from the highway, so it was very quiet at night. Mid-size room, pleasant bed, good bathroom (no tub). No fridge in the room. Next to the reception desk, they offer some small snacks, flavored water, and coffee (free of charge), and a vending maching next to it. There is a gaming room, including a pool table, free to use. Breakfast is not in the hotel, but in the Marchee next door ca. 5 min. away on foot. We got a green wristband and could order or take whatever we wanted. My omelet was personally made for me; fabulous. This is a good hotel for motorists; for us, it was much too far away from the city. Since we wanted to visit the castles, it was necessary to do that during the afternoon before check-in. The Marchee also offers good dinners, but they are pricey. Otherwise, this is really a highway hotel for a night's stay only.

    It is expensive for what it offers. Simple rooms. They did not have a safe , shampoo and shower gel, just soap for hands. For breakfast or dinner we could have it in Marché (cafe restaurant for travelers ) five minutes walk.

    This is the most pleasant hotel we have been to on this trip.Located a bit far from town but we were with a private car so it did not bother.The rooms look brand new.The lobby is very cozy. There is free tea coffee and cookies all day and all night.There is a pool tableThere are comfortable armchairs and you can meet other guests and chat.The dining room is not inside the hotel but 300 meters away in the MARCHE restaurantWe ate a good breakfast and you can also have dinner.it was fun we loved the hotel.
