Unforgettable
20 Sept 2026
The location is simply exceptional, with beautiful views and the perfect setting to enjoy the elegance and charm of Lugano. The rooms are refined, spacious and extremely comfortable, with great attention to detail throughout. The food was excellent and made our experience even more special, but what really stood out was the staff. Everyone we met was professional, attentive and genuinely warm. This hotel will always have a very special place in our hearts. Last August, I chose the Splendide Royal as the place where I would ask my partner to marry me. Looking back, I truly could not have chosen a better setting for such an important moment in our lives. The beauty of the hotel, its atmosphere and the wonderful hospitality made that day even more memorable. Miriam Qallouj, Other at Hotel Splendide Royal, responded to this review Dear APmarcoa,Thank you for your truly heartfelt words. It is a wonderful pleasure to know that your stay with us was not only enjoyable, but became part of such an important and unforgettable chapter in your lives. It has been amazing even to us to feel part of such a special moment and the Team enjoyed arranging everything for your and your other half. Knowing that the beauty of Lugano, the atmosphere of the hotel and the warmth of our hospitality contributed to such a meaningful moment is an honour for all of us. Moments like these are precisely what make hospitality so special. We are delighted that you appreciated the elegance and comfort of our rooms, the culinary experience and, above all, the genuine care of our team. Your kind words will be shared with our colleagues, who will be truly pleased to know that they helped make your stay so memorable. It would be a privilege to welcome you back to the Splendide Royal and perhaps celebrate another special milestone with you in the future. Until then, we wish you both every happiness for the wonderful journey ahead.Warmest regards,The Management

Pleasant experience
13 Sept 2026
It was a pleasant experience however our room was disappointing. The furnishing were outdated and in poor shape. The arrangement of the room was actually very awkward. We would have preferred a normal one room arrangement. The entire staff were incredibly helpful, efficient and thoughtful. Great location! Miriam Qallouj, Other at Hotel Splendide Royal, responded to this review Dear Pattiem,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay with us. We are pleased to know that, despite the shortcomings you experienced with your room, you appreciated the helpfulness, efficiency and thoughtfulness of our team, as well as our wonderful location. We are, however, sorry to hear that the room did not meet your expectations. We fully understand that the layout and style of a room are very much a matter of personal preference, and we regret that the furnishings and arrangement did not provide you with the comfort and atmosphere you were hoping for.As we are gradually renewing our historic property, we are working step by step to enhance our rooms while preserving the character of the hotel. Your comments are therefore particularly valuable to us.Unfortunately, the username associated with your review does not allow us to identify your reservation. We would be very pleased if you could contact us directly by email with your booking details. This would allow us not only to look into your experience personally, but also to make a note on your guest profile so that, should you decide to return to Lugano, we may extend a special level of attention and care to your stay.We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back and providing you with an experience that better reflects the standards we strive to offer.Warm regards,The Management
