  Ty he hotel is conveniently located by the shores of Lake Geneva with easy access to restaurants, riviera walks and Castle Chillon. Breakfast is good with fresh fruits, smoked salmon, warm and cold meats, eggs and good selection of bread and pancakes. The bar at the lobby is good place to relax. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Very restful sleep. The things I didn’t like is that there’s no ventilation in the bathroom and though the weather was dry, there’s a smell that hangs in the air. There is no air conditioning in the entire hotel including the rooms. Can’t imagine the heat in summer as the winter afternoons do get warm and stuffy. Though the balcony doors can be opened, a fire is set in the garden every evening (think during winter) and the smoke gets into the room if you leave the balcony doors open. No bedroom slippers, toothbrushes or toothpaste provided. Remember to bring your own. The staff are very pleasant. There’s no gym or pool in the hotel. Wish there was some kind of pool or spa to relax in after a day out.

  Lovely hotel, great location and a little disappointed

  The front staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Great view from our room with a balcony facing the lake and was very nice and comfortable. Located on the promenade with easy access to restaurants and the train station. Breakfast is definitely not worthy of a 4 star rating. We were very disappointed with the breakfast and should have heeded the many negative comments in past reviews. No fresh fruit, such as melon or bananas. Egg and tomato combo was rubbery and lukewarm. If you are hoping to eat a healthy breakfast the make sure you book a room NOT including breakfast One would have thought that hotel management would read the past reviews and responded with improvements. Given they do not even respond to reviews it was probably too much to hope for.Otherwise the stay was comfortable and is a great location

  Our first address to stay in Montreux since 2023.The rooms offer stunning views (enjoyable from your own balcony) of the lake and Alps, and it is only a small walk through their own garden (with plenty of sitting space) to get directly to the lakeside. The centre is a 10 mins walk along the Quai. Rooms are tidy, and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is very pleasant - broad variety like bacon, eggs, salmon, fruits, sausages, cheese, muesli, jams, ...not sure why some of the latest reviews mention no fresh eggs (not true) or watery coffee - iirc the coffee at the buffet might be American (havent tried it), but you are free to ask for a cappuccino or espresso as well, which will be happily served by friendly and welcoming staff. We never left breakfast unhappy or empty. The entire place is a reminiscence of times gone by with an air of peace, hospitality, and tranquility rarely found these days.

  Great location next to the lake. Excellent service from the staff (many of them interns) throughout our stay. Parking is available but should be reserved in advance. Quieter than the hotels in the centre but still close enough to walk to the town centre and railway station or the Chillon Castle in the other direction. If you prefer not to walk, the 201 tram service can take you in either direction and is free with the Montreux Riviera Card supplied by the Hotel. The card also offers discounts on other travel and museums etc. Our room was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the lake; fantastic views across the lake. There is a fan but no air conditioning, so our room got rather warm in the unseasonal heatwave. The garden is very pleasant. Buffet breakfast offered a good choice in a large airy room. Dinner on the terrace was enhanced by the wonderful views. We enjoyed the cog railway trip to Rocher de Naye. Glacier 3000 can be reached by road and Gstaad by road or rail. Highly recommend the hotel.

  Very good hotel except for room comfort.

  This is a lovely hotel. Switzerland is very expensive, however, the half board offering is both excellent in value and quality.The staff are friendly and professional. Many of the younger ones are from a local university doing a hospitality degree. Sometimes, it is pretty obvious that they are learning, but their enthusiasm makes up for any slight surprise. Indeed, it made our stay all the better. The hotel is in a great position, a short walk to town along the prom. So, why not 5 stars? Our issue was with our room which was at the lakeside, facing south.it was just so hot with no air conditioning or ceiling fan. A clanky, noisey old tower fan was provided, but didn't do much. Additionally, the pillows are flat feather ones. Together, sleep was difficult. We will return, but not in warm weather.
