  My tiny hand is freezing...

  Very hit and miss stay. On the plus side, clean room with good bathroom, good quality bed and a coffee machine. All the basics done well.However, room was freezing cold and the only answer from reception was to provide a small hot air blower which I had running constantly while in the room. I ended up working in my overcoat!On the second night, I wanted to order room service but was told that the restaurant was too busy to do food that evening! I challenged this and said that I would be happy to wait a longer period for the food to be delivered but no budging by the hotel team. No warning in advance and so I was left having to head out of the hotel to find food.Not very good moderntimeshotel, at Modern Times Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.   Nice Countryside Setting

  We chose this hotel because we wanted to visit Lake Geneva and Chillon Castle. We still think we made the right choice. The hotel surrounding is amazing with private residence and animals. It was a convenient train ride from Vevey central station, then a 5-minute walk. We enjoyed a nice walk around in a morning.The hotel staff was friendly. The buffet breakfast was very good. The only surprise we had was no air conditioning. We found it ok after we kept the windows open for some time (surprisingly no mosquitos entered the room).It was also very nice that the hotel sent us electronic copies of local transportation passes in advance.   Nice hotel in the edge of Vevey with great views.

  Nice hotel on the edge of Vevey.I stayed here on business for a couple of nights. It was about 8 minutes in taxi from the main railway station, but I believe it was also possible to get a bus as part of your hotel package.The design of general areas and rooms was contemporary. I would say the rooms were a little basic, but this wasn’t an issue.I used the small gym a couple of times which was fine and not busy.I ate in the hotel 1 evening which was very expensive for what I got. Breakfast and drinks were also very expensive. That said, probably in keeping with the area.The bar staff were very good, so a thank you to them.I would have no issues in recommending or staying again.   super pleasant stay

  super hotel location absolutely wonderful. train station at walking distance just few minutes walk. staff very helpful courteous welcoming. have to mention Gesualdo, Julia ,Elodia ,Yoli ,Pauline., Loui G all very helpful. Rooms are spacious well lit and amazing veiw . housekepping also very efficient clean the room verty nicely.. just one dissapointment was that being vegetarian needed our breakfast included in stay as all the marriot Bonvoy hotels do that for us. we have only fruits cereal . we are bonvoy marriot members and always they included breakfast for us. the lobby area is very nice lively atmosphere. we had a wonderful stay thenk you to the staff for making our stay so pleasant..   Modern Times Hotel Vevey Switzerland

  Starting with Julia who checked us in, ending with Luigi printing tickets for us and everyone in between, the staff was amazing. Breakfast was excellent and and we ate in the lounge area several times and everyone was great and food was excellent. I did not run into a single person that was not attentive to our needs and friendly. All made us feel at home. Close to transportation into town and easy access to surrounding area. We did several day trips and all went well. Would definitely stay there again in Vevey, Switzerland.
