    Nice room with views over lake

    The room had good views to the west over the lake which meant sitting on the balcony was pleasant in the evening. The beds were comfortable and our room was spacious and in good condition. Breakfast was available by reception with nice views but the food was not inspiring. Some of the hot food was warm not hot.Enjoyed the stay.

    Such a great hotel. Although the building has probably been there in that prime spot on the lake for quite a while it has been modernised with fresh quirky and bright decorating which we loved. We had a 'privilege lake view room with balcony' which was huge, with a sitting area and plenty of storage and luggage space at the entry way. We notice a review which commented they had a lake view room with balcony but it was tiny and outdated decorating so it might be important to request an updated room when booking and be aware of the square meters shown in the description. Maybe that's what the 'privilege' part of our room title referred to. We travel a lot and this was one of the hotels we've enjoyed the most. Love it!

    Great location and very welcoming. Excellent choice for short stay in Montreux. Would definitely recommend and we would stay here again.

    Smoke on the water, fire in the sky

    Access from the train station is easy with a public escalator opposite the train station to the water front below and 100 m walk to hotel reception The room was very comfortable and great views over lake GenevaA comprehensive breakfast and lovely restaurant with an outdoor terrace featuring traditional Swiss cuisine. Staff were welcoming and very accommodating.

    Hotel amenities do not match the room standard

    The hotel amenities have gone the extra mile with a modern sun terrace, gym, terrace overlooking the lake, even reception with different games, sweet shot and popcorn maker. Sadly the rooms dont match this standard. We had a lake view room with balcony, the balcony was just enough for 2 chairs which was fine but the room itself is basic, outdated and tiny. Our bathroom was so small you couldnt actually use the toilet properly as it was too tight. You would end up kicking the sink unit each time. We also found the rooms too bright I am an early riser but the curtains are more like netting so dont keep any light out of the room.Id visit for the amenities but id ask for a modern room if they have one if not id stay elsewhere
