    Very impressive and luxurious!

    rating28 Feb 2026

We had a big corner room, with gleaming white linen combined with a deep wood closet, desk, door and a modern, airy feel. It also had a gorgeous bathroom with marble swimming all over, and swank amenities. And best of all--there were plenty of outlets to charge our various electronics. The bed was fantastic, like sleeping on a bag of marshmallows. It was an incredible stay, and we regretted we only stayed 1 night. Service was also top-shelf. The staff were great in storing our bags when we showed up a bit early, and then checking us in even with a little free room upgrade. The hotel is located just outside the old town ring, and is just a 350 meter walk to the Abbey. They also included a local St. Gallen discount card with our stay, giving free public transport, museum discounts, etc. That made it a slightly better value, but this is still a luxury-priced hotel. That said, it a great splurge. A luxurious trouble free stay at St Gallen.

    rating24 Jan 2026

The location excellent, in a quiet street, luxurious environment. The rooms big, very hot (!), nice and clean bathroom, nice bed which provided a nice sleep. Nice breakfast, very friendly and assisting employees. Would love to come back! Hotel Einstein's Theory of A/C Relativity

    rating23 Oct 2025

Our stay at the Hotel Einstein in St. Gallen had many wonderful elements. The location is excellent, offering convenient access to the city's main attractions. Furthermore, the staff were friendly and welcoming which made the overall atmosphere quite pleasant. However, a significant issue was encountered regarding the in-room climate control, which directly contradicted the hotel's advertised amenities. The hotel website clearly states that rooms feature individually adjustable air conditioning (AC). Upon finding our room too warm, we were informed by the staff that the central heating had been switched on for the entire building and that the AC function was therefore disabled. We were advised to "open the windows" instead. While I appreciate the staff's response to the situation, it is unacceptable for a hotel to advertise a key comfort amenity like air conditioning if its functionality is dependent on the seasonal operation of central heating. This is highly misleading to guests who specifically book based on the promise of individual climate control. Being unable to adjust the temperature in the room when it's too warm, despite advertised AC, significantly detracted from an otherwise excellent stay and impacted the quality of our sleep.I highly recommend the hotel review its online description to accurately reflect the true, limited, seasonal operation of its climate control system. Michael Vogt, Geschäftsführer at Einstein St. Gallen, responded to this review Dear 722Bel, Thank you very much for staying with us and taking the time to share your feedback. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay.Thank you also for your feedback regarding the air conditioning in the guest rooms. These are individual units, which provide cooling during the hot summer months from June to September and heating during the cooler months from October to April. As you stayed with us in October, when the outside temperature was 10°C, there was no need to cool the room with the air conditioning. In Switzerland, it is very safe to simply open the window and let in fresh air. Fresh air is healthier than air conditioned air, and it reduces our carbon footprint, helping the environment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Nevertheless, we hope to welcome you back to our hotel in the near future. Best regards, Michael VogtGeneral Manager

Excellent Hotel and equally excellent location to explore St. Gallen.

    rating17 Oct 2025

We had an excellent stay at Einstein during our visit to St. Gallen.Having travelled as a family of three from Zurich after an international flight, we found it effortless throughout our entire stay at the Hotel. Upon arrival - checking-in & parking the car in the garage were all very easy. The location of the Hotel is perfect to explore the city of St. Gallen. The breakfast hall adjacent to the main Hotel was huge in size, plentiful & also has a great café / restaurant during the day in the same area. The rooms were decent in size, comfortable, well appointed and very quiet. The service from the staff ( no matter what area they were in ) was also of a high-standard and very accommodating / friendly.Overall, a great stay and a great Hotel. Best location!

    rating15 Oct 2025

We had a fantastic weekend in this beautiful city. The hotel is located in the historic part of St.Gallen and close to shopping and attractions. I had reserved for the wrong date but the reception team solved this issue in an instant with a smile. The hotel team is very friendly and always eager to chat and share their favourite restaurants or sights. The breakfast is splendid and so is the Bar. (We didn’t do the restaurant, apparently it has Michelin Stars). The Bar is amazing and always crowded. There is a speakeasy style in the back that offers a wide range of cigars. We tried the gym and it is gigantic. The kids enjoyed the pool in the meantime. To sum up, we will be back in town and it’s definitely going to be the Einstein again.
