The food is unreal and there's a genuinely friendly atmosphere from everyone in the hotel. All the staff are friendly attentive and passionate about looking after their visitors. Special thanks to the wonderful chief - who puts so much love into both his daily menu and what he sends out to the table, the quality and flavor was off the charts. We also got to know Cristina and Lottie who were lovely and made sure we were OK.We had a room with a great view and everything was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well with no disturbances. My only suggestion for improvement is that the decor is a little dated & it needs modernisation. Then I think you would have something very nique and wonderful and worthy of 5*.All in all we had a very lovely stay in San Gian Hotel

A Noticeable Improvement This Year

We have been skiing in St. Moritz for about 15 years and have stayed at Hotel San Gian for more than a decade.Before the COVID-19 pandemic, we always enjoyed excellent service and great food at the hotel restaurant. After the pandemic, we noticed some changes – one of the restaurants closed, the staff changed, and unfortunately, the food quality had declined. However, the hotel still offered enough to keep us coming back, even though we often chose to have dinner elsewhere.This year, we were pleasantly surprised. Both the kitchen and the service have improved significantly. The food was excellent not only in presentation but also in taste. We tried a wide range of dishes from the menu and were not disappointed by any of them – from starters to main courses and desserts.We would like to sincerely thank the entire team – from the reception staff to the waiters – for their warm, attentive, and professional service. We are already looking forward to coming back again.

Great Stay at the San Gian

Our family stayed at the hotel San Gian in February 2026. We had a wonderful stay, in large part because of the amazing and friendly staff. They truly went above and beyond to make our family feel at home and meet the trip an amazing experience for us all. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to come back one day.

Excellent Welcome!

We were booked this hotel by a travel agent so we were not too sure what to expect.The welcome was sensational -the male receptionist was one of the best we have ever had. The room was compact but warm and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and I would recommend that you make that part of your package. Downside? Its MILES from anywhere. So if you don't mind being a 20-25 minute walk from town then stay here. We were disappointed with the location. Other than that it was nice.

Very good and comfortable hotel. Paul at reception is really nice and has excellent recommendations on things to do and where to go in the area. The hotel gives you a transport card that covers all cable cars and public transport in the area and that saved us a lot of money. The hotel is located close to the lake but further than st Moritz village itself. Perfect location away from the noise but close enough by public transport.
