    We asked the staff late in the evening if they could help us since all the hotels we‘re booked out. They gave us a lovely room for a good price and we‘re very kind. They offered us a glass of wine and breakfast on the house. We were very happy with our stay:)

    This review goes entirely for the management and the entire operations in general and not for the staff. Anywho, staff we never got to really see the staff except for the breakfast staff.1. Check-in process was very confusing2. Despite the state of the art tablet in the room, there was no way we could get any service whatsoever. Our sink clogged up and we couldn't get someone on the phone for 20 minutes. I just let the phone keep ringing and ringing this to test it out. And it was nothing3. The operations decide to take on More tour groups than they could fit into the breakfast area. People were standing on the counter eating standing while the staff run like a chicken without their heads. Horrible horrible4. You are a thermal hotel, but we took gone guess while your thermal was not operating. Guess it's had to walk to the next building in bath robes in order to get into the spaIf you're not ready, do not operate

    This hotel is connected with others Hotel Maison Blanche and Thermen Walliser hotel. The De France hotel was one of the historical hotels built in the 1800 in Leukerbad. The hotel share the breakfast room with the two others hotel in another building (the main building): you can reach with and underground tunnel or easier by crossing the street. Breakfast is a big no: inefficient staff, poor quality of the food (better at Ibis Budget). For sure not in line of what you would expect from a 4 stars hotel in Switzerland. De France room have been renewed: we book d junior suite. The bathroom was ok very modern. Room was also ok but part of the furniture was still old….terrible carpet on the floor with even stains! I would nor recommend this hotel but I believe overall in Leukerbad there is a problem as they lack of new hotels….Leukerbad in any case a pleasant place to stay and enjoy thermal baths!

    I have been in Hotel De France few weeks ago with my wife and my child. The staff was amazing and the hotel is definitely comfortable, very close to city center.Walliser Alpentherme Spa was spectacular. I really hope to visit this hotel again.

    The thrill of 1917

    We booked a room for two nights and wanted to reschedule. Impossible to reach the property by phone. Fortunately, our daughter and her fiancé were on site and were able to do that in person. At check in, a very rude "lady" reflecting the new property/management treated us almost as "enemies of the people" when we inquired about the amenities and how we could reach the property by phone.Anyway, everything not well kept, the pseudo 4-star room had a lot of broken parts and the housekeeping shocked us relatively early in the morning (this is NOT a business hotel and you cannot expect the guests to be out of their rooms at 8:00 am). Buffet OK but too expensive for the quality. Leukerbad is lovely but 50 years after the start of Swiss legislation against "selling out the fatherland" the disruption of traditional Swiss hospitality by foreign investors is completed.
