Location

This pleasant hotel lies at the heart of Grindelwald and offers views out over the glacier and the mountain massif. A range of sports activities are on offer and links to the public transport network may easily be reached on foot lying just a few paces away (200 m). The nearest ski slopes are 15 min walk away and the nearest mountain railway station is 500 m away. There is a free ski bus that departs from a stop that lies some 20 m from the hotel.

Facility

The complex was modernised in 2022. The complex has 61 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a library. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a childcare service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain just the right temperature. Guests can relax on the balcony or terrace. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. As an extra convenience, bathrooms provide cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. A hot tub can soothe sore muscles (for a fee). The hotel's location is particularly ideal for skiers. Ski passes are available locally. Sport and leisure facilities at the complex include a gym and yoga. Various wellness options, such as a spa, a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments, are offered for a fee.

    The nicest hotel for my tour

    I truly enjoyed my stay at Grindelwald Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort. The room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good, and I looked forward to it each morning.Even though this was not the biggest or newest room I had during my tour, it ended up being my favourite hotel stay. The overall atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and welcoming, which made the experience especially memorable. I would definitely recommend it and would gladly stay here again.

    We are currently staying at this hotel and booked a four night stay. We upgraded to a west wing suite. This is by far the worst suite we have ever booked, but if we have a suite I would hate to see a normal room. The room has only a small "fainting type ":couch for watching TV. It only has a back on the very corner and the rest is bench type seating. VERY uncomfortable for anything much less watching TV. There is NO desk or not even a chair in the entire room. There is a huge bathtub in the bedroom. The only thing we like is the separate shower and the bed is ok. There is a balcony but it overlooks a parking area so we have not utilized the balcony. The hotel is strangely built. You come into the hotel through Barry's restaurant which is very odd and not very practical. I do not like walking through where people are eating a meal to get to a back door where you have to then take an elevator and then walk up stairs, go through the spa and work out area, through a bar area to get to another area to take a second elevator to get to the floor our suite is on. The hotel has been pieced milled and it there is no rhyme or reason for anything. They have about 10 parking places located in their garage they will reserve for you if requested and available for about 15 chf daily. We feel the hotel is WAY over priced and wish we would have chosen something different.

    Great location, breakfast food quality was good, variety slightly lacking. Room was nice with a huge bath tub. Views were to die for. Service was perfunctory and functional.     A first class hotel. Unbelievably friendly staff, always helpful and efficient.     Highly recommend for a week in Grindelwald

    We just spent a week in Grindelwald staying at the amazing Chalet Eigersunna. This was a really spacious three bedroom chalet with amazing views of the Eiger. The views are matched by the friendly and attentive service. The team could not do enough including early morning transfers to the train station with our luggage.
