    Exceptional location, really cute top-floor (5th) room with an outside balcony. Super comfortable, great sleep. It feels very slightly tired but it is an old building in a superb location with mountain views at the back and town square views at the front. The town is extremely nice - beautiful in fact - and easy to walk round and navigate with a fort (enter free), photo opportunities at every turn, good restaurants (not inexpensive but if you buy smart you can certainly keep costs down). We ate at a lovely restaurant in the square with a fantastic atmosphere and live (but not blaring) music.Shops and boutiques are nearby and it is within easy walking distance of the station(s) that are next to each other and service the Glacier Express and all other Swiss train services - easy to navigate.The staff here were super friendly and helpful. My wife adored this place and would love to come back.My only reservations are that breakfast was really quite expensive but you can get a nice coffee and a croissant free with your stay and there is a Co-op store down the road towards the station where we bought brunch for the train journey. Additionally the very slight tiredness but I wouldn't swap that for the 'cuteness' of the place. Loved our stay.

    We recently stayed before joining the Glacier Express. The hotel is very central and was easy to get to from the main train station. Our room was perfect, beds were very comfortable and clean. The staff were polite and professional and very helpful. My husband left an expensive item behind and when I enquired if housekeeping had found it, they contacted me straight away, in fact he had left it in the Zurich hotel, when I informed them that it was found, I had a lovely email. All in all I can highly recommend staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

    We spent only one night at the hotel, but everything was absolutely perfect and at the highest level. The staff were exceptionally kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel truly cared for from the very first moment.What made our stay especially memorable was the wonderful birthday surprise they prepared for my husband — a beautifully decorated room and a thoughtful handwritten card, which was such a personal and touching gesture.The room itself was stunning: spotless, beautifully designed, and offering a breathtaking mountain view. Breakfast was excellent, with great quality and variety, and the overall attention to guests was outstanding in every detail.Even though our stay was short, the experience was unforgettable. A hotel that truly cares about its guests — we would highly recommend it and would love to return.

    Great location, very quiet, clean with lovely staff

    The hotel is a 5 -10 minute walk from the train station. We had a room on the 5th floor with a small balcony which overlooked the mountains - really lovely to sit out in the evening with a glass of wine. The room was very clean and comfortable with body wash/shampoo, separate conditioner, shower cap, flannels and a hairdryer in the bathroom. There was a coffee machine, tea bags, cups, glasses and complementary water. There are plenty of coat hangers and a safe, extra blankets and pillows plus cushions for the chairs on the balcony. We slept well with no noise inside the hotel and little noise from outside. We had forgotten adapters and the lady in reception very kindly lent us some for our stay. The restaurant was being renovated when we stayed so I can’t comment on the food (but other reviews suggest it’s good) I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
