    OUR STAY IN SWITZERLAND

    rating08 Dec 2025

We had some challenges in getting our rental car, but once we overcame that we were fine with transportation. We contacted the office to let them know that we would be arriving late. They left us information and the keys at the office for after hour check in. The next day when the office was open (Monday), we stopped in and took care of the deposit and visitor taxes as well as getting direction on what was expected of us. The apartment was a 2 bedroom unit with a kitchen/living room/2 full baths and balcony. There was a working elevator for this 3rd floor unit. The temperature was controlled centrally, so we were unable to turn the heat (it was cold outside) up or down depending on how we were feeling. This required some open windows at times it felt too warm. There is a pay laundry in the basement that worked well once we understood (trial by error) how it worked for us. The staff were helpful, but when we asked for an additional trash bag, there was going to service charge fee, so we made due until the housekeeping staff brought one mid-week per their standard schedule. One requirement is for the guest to complete a starting inventory of EVERY ITEM in the apartment, including stove, sinks, beds, flatware, plates, etc. Never had to do that before. THe building was secured at 2200 (10pm) everynight, so we made sure we did not stay out past that. We could get in with a key if needed. Stores, resturants and other conviences were nearby within walking distance. There are skylights, but the remotes were not working well to get the curtains to close. The water was hot and powerful for baths and showers. Under the beds appeared to have never been cleaned. The level of cleanliness was not as good as we expected. The staff left a nice gift basket in the room for our arrival. We used the coffee pot a lot, so we went to the nearby store for pods and laundry supplies. The cost for the unit was very reasonable for Switzerland, the country that nickle and dimes you to death. Having a rental vehicle was great for us as we are not use to having to use mass transit and it appeared limited at the resort area. Overall, nice place and a great family trip for us.

    Nice place, bad management

    rating01 Oct 2025

Good things: nice, spacious, clean apartment (one bedroom, two bathrooms) with a very large terrace. A welcome basket upon arrival and a chocolate bar at check-out.Bad things: very long inventory checklist that the guest must perform early in the stay, accounting for every single item in the apartment. Everything (in bold font): the toilets, the dishwasher, every piece of silverware, every cup, saucer, utensil, sheet, towel, ashtray-- everything. It took my travel companion and I one hour to perform the inventory and write it up. I have never experienced this before and have to wonder what sort of clientele usually stays there that the management feels that such an inventory is required? Also, the guests have no control over the apartment's climate/temperature-- it is set by the management and cannot be altered. What other reviewers wrote about the laundry is true-- I was grateful to be able to wash a load of clothes but I did need to insert another coin to release the washer door (all told the load, wash and dry, cost me 6 CHF)-- note that you need one and two-franc coins and the machine does not give change. The check-in was complicated and the person who checked us in was very rude. Others in the office were much nicer, but still the overall impression was one of being "nickel and dimed" as well as not trusted not to steal the silverware. Sorry, but I don't recommend this place because of the management.

    Great View and supporting staff

    rating13 Sept 2025

It was our first visit to Switzerland. We informed hotel staff about late checkin which they handled very well and seamlessly. Resort has all basic requirement in close vicinity and clean rooms. Nendaz was really wonderful place and nice weather during Aug end.

    Poorly maintained property

    rating07 Feb 2025

Stay elsewhere. This was booked as a timeshare through RCI. The property is mismanaged by a real estate agent who is not interested in doing property maintenance. Timeshare facilities are a free sauna and 1 coin operated washing machine and 1 dryer, hardly justifying resort fees! The washing machine requires an extra coin to release your washing after it is done because the timer shuts of mains power to it. The Miele dishwasher door slams shut as the door won't stay open. The agent considered this normal!. A butcher created the opening in a wooden door to fit in a microwave. You have to lift the microwave door to clear the opening cut in the wooden door to use it. The bedrooms are upstairs and a pain to take luggage up and down and completely unsuitable for older persons or mobility impaired. I can see how someone who did a bad review in 2020 had a bad fal on the stairsl. No help available from manager on Sunday as they are shut. The agent expects you to do a full inventory and has outrageous fees if you break anything (fortunately we didn't. I tried hiring a high chair for 5 days but we rejected the 35chf price. My side of the bed had a low wooden beam that you had to avoid bashing your head on. My slatted wooden bed base repeatedly collapsed until after 3 attempts and based upon my advice they screwed the cross brace to the sides to fix the problem. When I left I advised another bed base was developing the same problem but the agent wasn't interested so check your base isn't going to turn your mattress into a taco with you in it. When I sought minimal compensation for the lack of maintenance collapsing the bed. I wasnt offered anything. The manager said I should just sleep on the fold out couch and that they cant give a discount to everyone just because the place is old! Ignoring that I only wanted something because of the bed repeatedly collapsing! Two weeks after lodging a complaint and request for compensation from RCI they havent responded. The area is ok but expensive as is everything in Switzerland but find other less stressful accommodation.
