Situated at an altitude of 1,050 metres above sea level, the hotel enjoys a central and quiet location with a wonderful view of the famous North Wall of the Eiger. The hotel is around 500 metres from the city centre, train station and sports centre. The Kleine Scheidegg/Maennlichen ski area and the Bachalpsee Lake and First peak are 25 minutes away using public transport, while Bern is around an hour's drive away.
The hotel was modernised in 2025. Guests have a choice of 206 non-smoking rooms located in two 5-storey buildings with lifts. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.
