Location

Perfect for parents with children, this ski hotel is situated on a main road right in the heart of Andermatt. In winter, skiing and the promise of fun in the snow draw many active holidaymakers to the region. Downhill slopes, a network of cross-country trails and ski lifts await ski enthusiasts nearby. Bars, restaurants, nightclubs and various shops can be found in the immediate vicinity.

Facility

Units include 4 junior suites and 115 double rooms located in a 6-storey main building and 9 auxiliary buildings. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and 2 lifts. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a car hire service, a transfer service, 24-hour room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a page service and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Rooms feature a living area and a bathroom. Central heating ensures comfortable temperatures. A welcome gift awaits guests. A balcony is among the standard features of some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A telephone, satellite television, a radio, a stereo system, a DVD player, a plug adapter and WiFi ensure optimal comfort. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. Cleaning on departure is among the services offered. Slippers, daily paper and pillow menu provide guests of the hotel with additional comfort. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a baby bath. The pleasantly heated water of the indoor and outdoor pools guarantees comfortable swimming. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, golf, a putting green, paddle tennis, paragliding, fishing, horse riding and jogging. With skiing, tobogganing fun and snowboarding opportunities, the hotel offers the perfect base from which to enjoy winter sports or just a relaxing winter holiday. Ski passes are available locally. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, yoga, callisthenics and pilates. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon, massage treatments, hydrotherapy treatments, anti-ageing treatments, a solarium, aromatherapy and cellulite treatment. Additional leisure activities include a kids' club, live music and a nightclub.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a dining room, a bar and a lobby bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner offer many delicious options. The hotel also offers snacks.

    This was perhaps my best ever experience staying at this property, the food, the room, the spa, the service, the staff absolutely fantastic. It blew mw away. Yes it was expensive but you get more than your money's worth!!The rooms are well planned, looking at each detail. The property offered what it stands for the best Asian hospitality experience in a European setting. Would I recommend this experience -- absolutely a must do !     Really great hotel, very nice relaxed vibe. Seamless service, great location. Will be returning in the future for sure. Recommend trying the Japanese restaurant with the Sake pairing.     I have had the best time in Chedi Andermatt in March 2026. Everything from food, SPA to service was excellent. The design is very modern and I love the dark palate. One of my fave swiss resorts.We arrived by Glacier Express and the hotel is right next to the train station and right to Ski lifts, so perfect location.     What were they thinking?

    So this is the gorgeous place everyone raves about. The Alpine hotel of many dreams. And I do not understand why.Location is OK, it's neither in the center of town nor next to the gondola, but distances are manageable. It's very spacious, and so are (parts of) the rooms. You can tell they spent a lot on decor - very instagrammable and quite aesthetically pleasing,But practical it is not. There is no walk path to the hotel, or they do not remove the snow on it. I could only find one restroom in the immense lobby and restaurant area, and it was oversized in space but undersized in usability (men queued in front of the 2 closed stalls). The ski room area is tiny and quite frankly messy, overlaps the bar area. There are queue barriers everywhere (destroying the elegance and never on the pictures). The restaurant for breakfast feels like an overcrowded cafeteria (again in the pictures the tables are arranged in a more pleasing fashion, but that cannot accommodate the crowd). Service is a bit rude in restaurants, and food is OK.The room is huge, but the luggage/wardrobe area is tiny and contrived (but pretty) -- as if couples were travelling with 1 handbag to a ski resort. The toilet door in the bathroom is half transparent. The shower is immense but the shower head on the far side. The mini bar area is impractical. But 12 people can comfortably sit around the low table in the bedroom - which I suppose is what mattered.Tiling was slippery in the otherwise rather nice spa. Who designed this place?Our room had the wrong cover for the (huge and comfy) bed, the white and blue pattern of the mattress was quite visible (in the otherwise earth/brown/dark theme) -- they cannot even maintain the decor. To be fair the staff tried their best to fix the issues we mentioned.This is a very, very expensive hotel, for average service in an average location and ridiculously low practicality.
