    We had a thoroughly good time in Zermatt enhanced by our stay at Daniela. For starters, they picked us up at the train station and took us to the hotel. We had a fabulous room consisting of a downstairs living room and bath and an upstairs bed and bath. Both levels had a balcony featuring a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. The location of the hotel is about 3 blocks from the Main Street so it’s easily accessible. The breakfast is top notch including a juice machine where you can squeeze oranges to get fresh juice. Everyone was super cordial and helpful.

    We stayed 2 nights at Daniela’s. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome at reception. Friendly and helpful staff all round. The hotel is in a good location, about 10 minutes walk to the centre and train station. They offer a complementary shuttle service from the station to their hotel. The room was spacious, offering the amenities of a 5 star hotel plus more. The attention to detail of the room and hotel was surprising, way better than most 4/5 star hotels we’ve stayed in around the world. All guests can enjoy complementary snacks in waiting area. And the drinks are also complementary in the mini bar which get replenished daily. A nice Nespresso coffee machine in the room with takeaway coffee cups too. So many little extras compared to most of the big name hotel chains. Well thought out sisters! I would highly recommend this hotel. Btw, breakfast was also good.

    The young lady on reception made our stay even more memorable. Pleasant, informative, helpful and just an all over nice person.Then the breakfast - anything and everything you could possibly want. Fresh yoghurt, home made birches muesli, delicious breads, good coffee, and a tray of honey in the comb - sweet and floral and tasting of spring.Even with the sad rate of exchange with our AUD to their CHF, this was an excellent stay.On a funny note, we are still quite mobile and using Google maps walked from the station to the hotel. Go straight ahead rather than turn right along the stream as Google sends you up a set of stairs - luckily reasonably gentle steps. But the hotel has a free shuttle in this car free village, so take advantage of that. We had a laugh with reception, as we had done it the hard way.

    I would like to start with an amazing personel - Luna, Simona and Julika. They were really happy to work and I couldn’t not pay attention to it. All managers provided more help than expected and were always smiling. Julika helped us with hiking routes and Simona made the New Year’s day really festive. Luna welcomed us and helped with hotel reservations.Also all others deserve attention: breakfast ladies and gentlemen who took us to station.Hotel is well designed and have spacious rooms. I really liked the spa zone. You could lay in the hay bed! Also their jacuzzi is quite big, more of a swimming pool.Our room had a view on the Matterhorn and a high ceiling. Breakfast was really good, with many options for fruits and vegetables, breads, eggs, meats, coffees, etc. In the afternoon there were some pies, fruits and candies provided for the guests.Definitely will come back.The hotel will suit for solo, families and pet owners.
