The hotel is situated in a prime position in the centre of Zermatt, close to the church. All valley stations for the mountain railways and cable cars are approximately 4 km from hotel.

    A cosy 3star hotel, good location in the heart of Zermatt. We booked a double room with with balcony. The view of the matterhorn mountain was amazing.The bed was very comfy, modern new decor, very nice and clean, tea/coffee provided, bathroom clean but though was abit small. Breakfast was fabulous. Shops and restaraunts to the high street about 5 - 10 mins walk.Friendly and helpful staff. Recomended.

    Hotel Bristol Zermatt offers a comfortable and welcoming stay, well-suited for travelers looking for convenience, warmth, and thoughtful amenities in the heart of Zermatt.One of the key advantages is the complimentary shuttle service from the Zermatt train station. Guests are required to inform the hotel in advance by phone, after which the pickup is handled smoothly—an especially helpful feature given Zermatt’s car-free environment.The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. A special mention goes to the elderly lady at the reception, who was extremely kind and took genuine interest in helping plan sightseeing itineraries around Zermatt. Her local insights and patient guidance added significant value to the overall experience.The rooms are clean, neat, and well maintained. While slightly on the smaller side—as is typical for many Swiss mountain hotels—they are comfortable and efficiently organized. My room was not Matterhorn facing but they do offer Matterhorn facing rooms. For guests checking in early or checking out early but planning to continue sightseeing for rest of the day, the hotel provides a secure luggage storage facility, which is very convenient.After a long and tiring day exploring the mountains, the steam room located in the basement is a real highlight. It offers a quiet and relaxing space to unwind and recharge. The hotel also provides a microwave in the basement, allowing guests to heat or prepare simple meals—an underrated but very practical amenity, especially for longer stays.Breakfast is good, fresh, and satisfying, providing a solid start to the day before heading out for excursions.Overall, Hotel Bristol Zermatt combines warm hospitality, practical facilities, and a convenient location, making it a reliable and pleasant choice for both short and extended stays in Zermatt.

    We loved staying at Hotel Bristol. We got a lovely room with a great view of the Matterhorn. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They have an excellent spa that is accessible for the guests. They also have a play room that my three year old loved. The breakfast spread was good.     Had an amazing time at this hotel. Perfect location for a start. The room was lovely and clean with a view of the Matterhorn. We chose that room on booking. Hotel a lovely lounge/bar which had views of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was amazing as were the staff. Would not stay anywhere else in Zermatt to be honest.     Amazing stay

    Very happy with this hotel. It is situated right next to a creek where you can get an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. It was cloudy when we were there, but we were able to just go downstairs to see if the Matterhorn was visible or not (or just check if there is a crowd outside). It's a 10 min walk from the train station but we like walking through the streets lined with shops and restaurants anyway.Breakfast was amazing - best I have had in our 2-week trip to Europe - you make your own eggs, waffle / pancake, juice, coffee the way you like them. There were a good variety of fruits, bread, cheese, meat, to choose from.The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Since it was cloudy on the first day, we wanted to stay an extra day. They were able to swap rooms and allowed us to stay in the same room for the second day. The room was very clean and large (quad room with 2 beds) with a balcony. Looks like it was just recently remodelled. Computer + printer in the basement and luggage storage too. Bike rental across the street (got a discount as a Hotel Bristal guest). We also found a few black-nosed sheep a few houses away from the hotel along the creek. Overall, it was a really wonderful stay.
