Wonderful Hotel in the heart of Zermatt!

    rating13 Mar 2026

Wonderful hotel. Location was great. Brewkfast was wonderful. We used the ski rental right across the road. Walked to the train and both ski gondolas to get to the ski areas. After we skied we used thier mini spa to loosen up for a little cocktails and dinner. Room was very comfortable and balcony was a huge plus. Would recommend to anyone!

    A retirement present

Stayed here last week for 3 nights. A perfect hotel with lots of charm and friendly, courteous and efficient staff. Our room was decorated in a pine setting and was extremely large with a corridor and sofa. Breakfast was plentiful. We dined in the evening in the hotel restaurant which was always full. It had a definite ambience and warm atmosphere. Finally, easy walking distance to the railway station.

    A charming & comfortable hotel

    rating16 Jan 2026

Hotel Walliserhof is located at 250m from Zermatt railway station. Built in 1896, renovation completed in 2016, the hotel offers 23 rooms. Furnishings and decoration provide a charming atmosphere. Service is friendly and helpful. Our room had desk & table, wardrobe with safe, good double bed with excellent down duvets, club-chair & TV, tea-coffee facility, and terrace with table & chairs. We had a separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet, bath & shower. All was super clean. A particularly good buffet breakfast is served: scrambled eggs, boiled eggs to make yourself, cold cuts & cheeses, breads & toast, cereals & fruits, milk & yoghurts, juices & preserves, pastries & croissants, tea & coffee. Walliserhof is an attractive hotel, and an excellent choice for several days or a week. Highly recommended.

    A very Merry Christmas vacation!!

    rating25 Dec 2025

We had a wonderful stay! We were here for 5 nights. The hotel is a very short walk from the train station and on the Main Street. We loved the location but it can get a bit noisy if you are at the front. For us being able to walk right out to restaurants and shopping was worth the noise. The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious, the staff were very lovely and the breakfasts each day were hearty and delicious. Our first trip to Zermatt and it may be the most beautiful place to spend Christmas on earth. Thank you for the hospitality!!

Centrally located, impeccably decorated lodging that provides everything a traveler needs for a short stay in Zermatt

    rating17 Aug 2025

We found the Hotel Walliseroff Zermatt while looking through options on Booking.com and it appeared to have everything we sought, particularly a convenient location that was easy to find and ratings that indicated a clean, comfortable spot to stay for our two nights in Zermatt. Both were true, but we were also rewarded with one of the friendliest front desk associates from our time in Switzerland - thank you, Maja! - along with a scrumptious breakfast buffet in the morning and accommodations that appeared antiquated because of memorable decor but were actually pretty modernized (there were “updates” we hadn’t seen at other spots, especially in the bathroom, which had a pocket door and a vessel sink.)We relish a room with a terrace, and that of #34 looks out over a neighboring rooftop. The room was clean and simply furnished with a chair, desk and another chair, and an area in the entry to hang a few items and place one’s luggage. It even had a mini-fridge.The twin beds, pushed pretty closely to each other, were comfortable. Wallpaper and black and white prints harkening back to an earlier time in town gave the room a warm, welcoming feel. One notable characteristic: the ceilings were quite low. I’m around 5’4” tall and could reach up and touch it. We dined one night at the hotel’s restaurant called Theodors Stuba, which was always packed with patrons.
