    My husband and I visited Küsnacht, Switzerland because he is hoping to start studying at the C.G. Jung Institute, which is located there. The Romantik Seehotel Sonne was recommended to him by a number of people affiliated with the Institute. We were able to book a junior suite for our four night stay.From the moment of our arrival, we felt very comfortable at the Sonne Hotel, although right now, their restaurants are both undergoing extensive renovations. We were fortunate enough to enjoy dinner at the restaurant on our first night, as well as a rich and plentiful breakfast each morning. Service was mostly good. My only comment was that on our last morning, a waiter took my plate while I was still eating. Fortunately, I was almost done, anyway.Our room-- 310-- was marvelous. It had a very comfortable bed. I enjoyed the lovely views of the lake, as well as the views on either side of the room. It was huge, and beautifully appointed. Bear in mind, though, that the elevator doesn't stop on the level that room is in. To access it and the suite below it, one must climb up or down half a flight of stairs. It isn't a good choice for anyone with mobility issues, although we managed fine.The bathroom was nice, although the room has a bathtub/shower combo, rather than a walk in shower. Again, this could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. I did like the toiletries offered, which were of good quality.The Sonne is located right next to a boat stop, so it's very convenient to hop on a shuttle boat to get to the city. There's also a train station nearby, as well as several good restaurants. Having stayed in Zurich, I appreciated the peace and quiet of Küsnacht, and the more residential vibe there. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily book there again. If I could, I would award 4.5 stars. The staff was very nice, and the beautiful views from our room provided so much entertainment. I could have watched the lake all day and enjoyed myself, plus gotten great photos!

    Excellent hotel, cool location and nice service at the front desk. A minus point with regards to the restaurant: the waiters/waitresses were not up to their task and not as helpful as one would expect.

    Beautiful hotel close to all transport links. The staff were faultless and always happy to help. Some rooms have stunning lake views but they are all very well presented and meticulously maintained. I actually booked this hotel by mistake but it turned out to be the best mistake I could have ever made.

    Front desk staff outstanding!!! Location, Setting, quality, room, staffs desire to please, view of the lake, atmosphere… all superb. We came to Kusnacht to do our own Carl Jung Historical Tour. Staying here at the Sonne Romantik made that journey perfect! Thank you. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

    This hotel made me feel like a million bucks. Wonderfully located for public transport. Hotel staff was amazing, friendly, and eager to make your stay the best it could be! So clean! Great restaurants and the breakfast was wonderful! There was no iron in the room but they will bring you one happily!
