  Nice location and super restaurant. However hotel rooms and service far from a 4 stars. No room service, noisy rooms, super warm in the rooms without possibility to cool down, shower sink stuck and very small TV way too far from the bed. Should be a 3 stars hotel.   The location is stunning, but I strongly recommend visiting for the day rather than staying overnight. On our first night we stayed in a double room, which was lovely—far nicer than the “view rooms.” Had we left after that, we would have been satisfied. Unfortunately, our second night was a disaster. We had paid extra for a view room, expecting to wake up to the mountains and lakes. The room itself was less appealing, but we didn’t mind as we were looking forward to the scenery. Instead, the evening was filled with constant noise from the restaurant and winter games below. We tried to stay positive, believing the view would make up for it. But at 11:30pm, deafening dance music shook the room. Reception informed us that a function had been booked right next door and would continue until 2am. They admitted they had already moved one family and offered to move us too—meaning we had to pack up and relocate in the middle of the night. By then, we were wide awake and struggled to sleep again. The next morning, when we asked to speak to a manager, we were told they didn’t know when one would be available. The only compensation offered was a free breakfast and late check‑out. No refund was given, despite the fact that we lost the view we had paid for and endured a sleepless night. The setting itself is incredible, but the hotel’s handling of guests is unacceptable. Save yourself the disappointment: enjoy the area during the day, but avoid staying at the hotel.   not as secluded as it sounds

  Sounded good that you cannot reach this place by car, only train, what we didn't realize is that it seems ALL Zurich is coming to this place in the weekend (not to the hotel ofc but the nearby walking/bycicle tracks and the magnificent views.Otherwise the hotel is okeish for a 4*, no complains, but nothing extraordinary either.The hotel's restaurant is very good both food and service wise. (Not the Bergstube though, although is mentioned as the hotel's restaurant, in fact that is in the Uetliberg train station, a 10 minutes walk).   It was okay but just okay

  We had an okay stay , definitely not worth the money. Staff weren’t as friendly or helpful as I’d hoped . I’d booked a room with a balcony for the view now the view didn’t disappoint it was stunning but thankfully we got the weather to enjoy it. However there was no mention of the room being right above the restaurant were you could here chairs being moved constantly and music playing all the time there was no quiet moments. The rooms aren’t soundproof either so you can hear everything on the corridors. The balcony’s are all attached expecting for an iron railings between them, which the railings were rusty and paint chipping.The room is in need of an upgrade or refurbishing it was very basic not the standard of a 4 star hotel at all the bathroom was old with a sliding door and the shower presser was really not great either. There is a restaurant on site that we didn’t eat in as the food menu was not appealing to us there was no even chicken pasta dishes or burgers or something basic there was an out door market cooking van that served great food he was our life saver. There is also no bar to enjoy even enjoy drink or bar food menu. There was also a hiking event that was on the day we arrived which we didn’t know about in advance and the place was so busy outside that there was no area for us to sit and enjoy which I feel the hotel could have pre warned us was taking place. All in all our hotel stay was fine but just fine I wouldn’t stay here again nor would I recommend it to friends or family it’s not worth the money and no where near a 4 star hotel.   Loved staying here on a short trip to Zürich! I got a spacious room, the spa to myself to relax in, fantastic 360° views and a gorgeous breakfast outside on the terrace.
