    On the day of my arrival I received a message from the hotel, the reception will be closed in the evening and hotel can be entered pretty much the same way that air bnb do their check in, trough the metal box attached near the entrance door. So, no 24 hour reception. I arrived at 2am, the check out was at 12pm. After the breakfast i asked the reception if I can extend my check out to 1pm, sure that would be CHF50I wish I didn't get up for breakfast. I was expecting at least someone to greet me, show you the table, but the was just a bunch depressed looking women, walking around checking everyone's table, without excuse me simply taking what they believed is finished breakfast cutlery ond crockery. The cleanliness of the room was more the standard of some hotel in a 3rd world country. Please see the photos attached. There was a bodily fluid on a bedside table which made me sick more than a dirty toilet bawl. All in all I would never stay in a place like this again. It's definitely not a 4 star hotel and just like everything else in Switzerland it costs a lot for what it's worth. Unless you are on a hostel kind of budget I would definitely not recommend this place.     Nice traditional jotel

    I didn't realise this hotel was 30 minutes out of Zurich. The train in & out of Zurich will cost you CHF 26 return per day, take this into account when comparing prices. If you buy the return ticket, you effectively get free public transport for 24 hours in Zurich, this includes the lake cruise & river cruise. We used this hotel as a base to explore Zurich.& It was fine. Hotel is rather traditional, very clean, good bed, pillows too soft. Bathroom had a bathtub with overhead shower, water pressure good, I would not call it modern. The breakfast was very good, bothe hot & cold selection. Overall a good stay.     Solid hotel, clean and streamlined. Rooms have no fridge (they were removed to make the hotel more energy efficient). Breakfast is ok with nothing spectacular to mention, but has most of what people would want. The hotel is nice and quiet despite being right next to the train station. Internet works well.
