    Would love to have stayed longer!

    We were delighted by our stay and were only sad that we didn’t get to enjoy our room for longer. We were upgraded to a room on the 4th floor. It’s the ideal place to stay for an early morning flight - just a 3 minute bus ride from the airport and the buses are very frequent. Our room was large and nicely decorated with modern alpine touches and had a safe, fridge, large TV and Nespresso machine. Totally soundproof. The bed was very comfy and the pillows were huge, soft and fluffy. Check out was as simple as handing back the key card to a very cheerful gentleman. We’d definitely stay here again.     I had a very uncomfortable experience at Leonardo Hotel Zurich Airport due to the behavior of the front desk staff.Upon arrival, the staff member on duty was rude and unnecessarily confrontational. At one point, he explicitly said he would “give me a hard time,” which was both unprofessional and unsettling, especially when I had done nothing to warrant that tone. He continued to go out of his way to bother me during my short time in the lobby, which felt more like harassment than customer service.While the hotel itself may be fine on paper, service matters ~ particularly at an airport property where guests are often tired, stressed, or dealing with travel disruptions. This experience lacked basic professionalism and courtesy.I chose to leave and stay elsewhere. I would strongly suggest considering other nearby hotels with more consistent and respectful service.     Excellent hotel for a layover. Walking distance to airport if you want to avoid pricey cabs and shuttles. Friendly staff, and nice clean room. Comfy bed.     Worst check in ever

    Have been traveling for a month and this was the worst check in we had. I think the staff at the front desk have the belief that it was our privilege to stay at this property. There was one person ahead of us and one person at the check in. As I lined up she said to me, “please go sit down and when I am ready I will call you.” Sat there for about 10 more minutes and I was then “blessed” to be checked in. The first thing she said without any greeting or anything was, “This is a non smoking hotel.” I said it doesn’t matter as I don’t smoke. With this she said, “well how am I to know that”. I thought wow….here we go. At completion of check in she said if we wanted to check in now as it was 1230 it would be 30 CHF. She had already assigned our room as it was written in the key holder jacket. I asked if our room was ready and she said yes but would be 30. This is nothing but a cash grab. In our month of travelling we checked in early half the time and never were charged. This was 2.5 hours early than check in. I said that we would leave our bags. Then I wheeled my bags to the end of the counter. There were now four staff members there and none of them were with guess. Totally ignored for two minutes until I said, can I get some service” instead of apologizing they tried turning it on me for being impatient. They need some training in verbal judo. Worse service ever at a check in from a traveler to more than 50 countries. Rooms were great though ….just expect rudeness.     Really Nice, Affordable with a great location for getting around Zurich

    My wife and I were in Zurich for 3 perfect weather days in September. We were attending a 3 day event near the airport that included a 5K run. The hotel was the perfect location for our needs. We bought Zurich 3 day travel cards good on all buses and trains. The hotel was a quick 2 minute bus ride to/from the airport train station and from there to all of the city and beyond. The hotel itself was fantastic from the friendly, helpful staff to the cleanliness and modern decor. The small lobby was a great place to hang out and meet each day. The room itself was comfortable, modern and fully equipped. The only nit to pick was that we could not find any English language TV content; to be fair though, we weren't there to watch television and didn't waste too much time trying to figure out the remote control. The breakfast buffet was very good and plentiful. We would definitely choose the hotel again and bonus props for having a room available for 9:00 AM arrival after our 9 hour all night flight because we had signed up for a free Leonardo Hotels membership prior to departure.
