Location

This hotel is centrally situated about 100 m from Lake Zürich and just a few minutes walk from nightclubs and links to the public transport network (100 m). It is not far to the main road.

    We stayed in the apartment in the annex. It was for one night…any longer and I would have left. It was unbearably hot. Almost uninhabitable. My kids were to sleep in the upstairs room, but it was so hot they came down and slept on the floor. We were forced to sleep with open windows with rowdy noise all night. All the smoking (of various kinds) from below went through the windows. I’m shocked at the price charged for such conditions. I will say the lady at the breakfast was a delight. We actually left earlier than needed to sit at the airport rather than the inferno of that apartment.

    Our room was in the main part of the hotel. It was spacious and quiet. It had a fan but no AC which was fine even with the heat. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was extra but we felt it was worth getting! Great location near the lake and for walking in the Old Town, near the train station. Would definitely stay again.

    Exceeded our expectations and great location

    This Hotel is graded as a three star and it exceeded our expectations, and we would happily grade it "very good" if available. Good location and it was really close to the river which made a great spot to sit and people watch in the evening. Our room was well appointed, clean, bright and airey in a minimalist style which we liked and nice touches with small horses which is a theme for the hotel. All staff we met were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a mixture of hot, cold foods and really good. The reception is open from 1100-2000hrs and this in itself was not a major issue, albeit we probably would have asked a few questions each morning about the local area / and our plans for the day if available. When the reception closes at 2000hrs the main door was propped open (may have been for the adjacent bar / restaurant) so in effect the Hotel was open to anyone to enter and personally we would have preferred a higher level of security. That said we had no issues and Zurich itself felt extremely safe with none of the usual issues found in other similar cities. We would certainly return / recommend this Hotel.

    Small rooms, look around

    The hotel is well located. Stayed here twice for a few days. The rooms are extremely small, particularly if they put you in the annex. You have to pay $20 per night extra to be in the main building. Zurich is very expensive so be prepared. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are clean. They are decorated nicely but haven’t changed since we were here 2 years ago. The breakfast is expensive and Starbucks is down the street. The internet is free but awful. Front desk staff is great. There is no AC and the rooms tend to be hot even when it is 15c outside. The rate is okay because Zürich is expensive. Pay a bit more and look around. Zurich in general has gone downhill. There is graffiti everywhere and compared to Lucerne, it’s dirty and they have lots of construction everywhere so ask your hotel if there is construction nearby.

    Good location. Close to a tram stop. Easy to get to and from the train station. Clean, cool, comfortable room. Roomy bathroom. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Walking distance to a lot of things. The only downside was that the breakfast wasn't very good.
