    Excellent boutique hotel

    rating01 Jun 2026

I was visiting Zurich for a business meeting nearby and this was a convenient location. Small but well furnished hotel. Check in was brilliant - using a simple iPad application on the reception desk - why don’t more hotels do this! Staff were very friendly.Compact but very modern room - with an apple and welcome note hand written. Was concerned that the hotel is on a tram route - but it did not seem to be regularly used - and the room was very well insulated!Small balcony looking over the street.Yes - it’s not overlooking the lake or right in the centre - but for me it was ideal! Marco Grossi, Geschäftsführer at Boutique Hotel Seefeld, responded to this review Dear Mr. Jet64417347148Thank you for your lovely review. We're very pleased to hear that our location was convenient for your business trip and that you enjoyed your stay with us. It's great to know that the check-in process, the room amenities, and the personal welcome note made a positive impression. We're also glad that the room was comfortable and quiet despite the nearby tram line, and that you were able to enjoy the balcony as well.We appreciate your comments and are happy that our hotel was the right fit for your visit to Zurich. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.Kind regards,Marco Grossi with the Hotel Team

    Very good for runners.

    rating09 May 2026

A very good location, close to Lake Zurich, especially if you're planning to run the Zurich Marathon or Half Marathon. It is also conveniently located near popular attractions such as the Swiss National Museum and Kunsthaus Zurich.Friendly and professional service. Excellent breakfasts, with a big plus for the meat- and fish-free options. Comfortable room.

    Pleasant stay in Zurich

    rating03 Mar 2026

This hotel is in a great location next to a tram stop and 10 minutes walk to many key places in Zurich (the Opera, old town and Kunstmuseum). 15-20 minutes to Bahnhoffstrasse. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. My upgraded room had a separate sitting area with sofa and desk. Super comfortable bed with eiderdown comforter. Bathroom is brand new but there is a big step into the tub/shower. Breakfast is a self-service buffet with nice variety and very sunny restaurant area. This is a great choice and great value vs. some of Zurich's better known hotels. Marco Grossi, General Manager at Boutique Hotel Seefeld, responded to this review Dear DW123418,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your pleasant experience at our hotel. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our prime location and found your accommodations comfortable and well-furnished. It is wonderful to know that you appreciated the variety offered at our breakfast buffet and the inviting atmosphere of our restaurant area.We appreciate your feedback regarding the bathroom step, and we will certainly take note of it as we continually strive to enhance our guests' experience. Your insights are invaluable in helping us maintain the high standards we set for ourselves. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future for another enjoyable stay!Best regards,Boutique Hotel Seefeld

    Don’t trust my review… it’s better than I said

    rating22 Dec 2025

It was hard to be disappointed by this hotel. Let me explain. The hotel is a short walk from old town and other Zürich areas of interest. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast in the restaurant arranged from good to very good with that all said, there are very few decent restaurant choices within a short walking distance of the hotel. Consequently, dinner required us to either go far a field or settle for food. We didn’t really want. The area around the hotel has plenty of pizza, Asian, and other ethnic choices. Very little in the way of Swiss or continental choices. The hotel decor is ultra modern. Not generally my taste, but it can be comfortable. This was reasonably comfortable. The beds were OK, but the pillows left me with a crick in my neck. I know, I’m doing a lot of complaining about minor things. Like I said, it’s hard not to like this hotel but somehow I managed. Marco Grossi, General Manager at Boutique Hotel Seefeld, responded to this review Dear PhilnKim,Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and balanced review. We truly appreciate your openness and sense of humor in describing your experience. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our location, the friendliness of our team, and the quality of our breakfast. At the same time, we are sorry to learn that certain aspects of your stay did not fully meet your expectations, particularly regarding nearby dining options, room décor preferences, and pillow comfort. Your feedback helps us better understand how different elements of a stay are perceived and where we can continue to improve. As you rightly point out, it is often the smaller details that shape the overall impression. We value your comments greatly and will take them into consideration as we refine the guest experience. We would be delighted to welcome you back in the future and hope to have the opportunity to leave you with an even more positive impression next time.Kind regardsBoutique Hotel Seefeld

Great hotel, but felt extremely unwelcome during breakfast

    rating23 Oct 2025

This would have been a five-star review. The location is excellent, the room was huge, and the amenities were outstanding: customizable pillows, a stocked mini bar and Nespresso machine in the room, robes and slippers, Rituals products... everything about the 'hard product' was top notch. The 'soft product' however... At breakfast, a lady asks everyone what their room number is and if they would like a coffee. She reminds them all that the first coffee is made by her, and they can get their own coffees after (there's a machine). I've always been asked my room number, but NEVER if I wanted coffee. On the first day I thought it was just an oversight, maybe she forgot? But I was there from Monday to Friday, and not once was I asked if I wanted coffee. Was it my gender? There were other women who were served. Was it my ethnicity? I don’t know, but it certainly felt that way. This morning, Friday, 24.10.2025 she asked me for my room number — and nothing else — then turned to the man two tables away and asked for his room number and whether he would like a coffee. It left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I simply walked out, leaving food on my plate. I checked out 20 minutes later. For 300+ EUR a night, I would never have expected this kind of treatment.Note: the reception staff were all lovely throughout the stay. Marco Grossi, General Manager at Boutique Hotel Seefeld, responded to this review Dear encreverteWe thank you very much for staying with us and for taking the time to share your feedback. Please be assured that all our employees, as well as our hotel and catering branch, are committed to diversity and equality.
