    Excelent hotel - a place to return

    Excellent hotel, attentive and helpful staff -they helped us with everything we needed. Very spacious, clean and comfortable room. Abundant and varied breakfast. We also decided to have dinner one night at the restaurant and we enjoyed it very much (despite the expensive prices like in all of Switzerland). Free parking (very useful since it is not close to the center or the train station) - a place to return!     We were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Sorell Hotel Sonnental in Duebendorf.Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, well-appointed, and spacious. Everything was in excellent working order. The beds were perfect for a fine sleep. The bathroom shower was small, but very usable. The safe was a bit difficult to access because it was attached to the bottom of the closet. The television had many television and music channels in a myriad of languages, including, but not limited to German, French, Italian, English, and Russian.The highlight for us was the spectacular breakfast buffet. It was superb!The staff was friendly and efficient. We have no complaints whatsoever. We look forward to returning.     Stay away from the restaurant.

    Comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff but badly designed rooms. If you want a nightstand light and charge your phone, you need to bring your own splitter for the outlet since the only outlet is used for the lamp on the nightstand. If they would switch the cupboard and TV location, you could actually watch without getting a strained neck. Also no AC. Rooms are extremely hot during summer and fall.Horrible room service. 27CHF + 5CHF for a frozen and thawed in the microwave burger patty that was hard and dry. The brioche bun was wet, soggy and falling apart.For a 4 star hotel this is not acceptable. There are much better options around for a cheaper price.I was looking forward to the breakfast buffet that was supposed to be top notch. Dirty plates and food wasn't refilled when it got empty. Coffee mugs were a mess with different sizes and no instructions what mug/cup was for what. Coffee machines kept breaking down and the poor girl that was doing the breakfast kept complaining. I got food poisoning from the salmon at the breakfast buffet. Frozen and thawed slimy salmon. We checked out and some hours later I sat in a park in Zürich puking my guts out for several hours. Never again this hotel. The restaurant should be closed by the health department!     Great hotel very clean rooms

    Very good hotel, we booked this for 3 nights to watch a concert at the Hall which Is about an 8 minute walk away. The hotel rooms are lovely and clean the beds are really comfy and the shower is very good. The room was very hot on arrival as we stayed in June so we decided we would see if they could provide us with a fan which they kindly gave us one to use. This made the stay even more comfortable and we slept great. The breakfast is fantastic with lots of choice and to be honest the breakfast was much better than I originally expected. We dined at the hotel on two evenings and the food was superb the sorrel burger Is amazing. There are some coffee machines located around the hotel which were maintained and always ready to use which was great with baskets nearby with fruit and cereal bars which you could help yourself to whenever you wanted. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful.
