Location

Centrally located, the hotel lies in the heart of the Sihlcity area of Zurich and is surrounded by restaurants, shopping venues, commercial offices, a cinema, and even a discotheque. The city centre, which is 2 km away, can be reached easily by tram. Sihlcity is the innovative result of a sophisticated plan to unite a wide variety of activities in a single location. Emphasis is placed on the integration of modern architecture into the existing cityscape. This means that, alongside new buildings, several old factory buildings remain in their original locations. The hotel rises from the spot where once the Sihl paper factory stood. This combination of existing land marked architecture of the factory building and modern construction technique forms an interesting and extraordinary symbiosis. Guests can enjoy the huge range of facilities on offer in the new Sihlcity area: a spa centre, over 2500 m² in size, directly connected to the hotel, a cinema with 9 screens, an adjoining shopping centre and a cultural centre next to the old factory chimney are only few examples of the amenities hotel guests may enjoy in Sihlcity. It is some 50 min by car to the ski region of Brunni-Alpthal, and Zurich Airport is around 15 km away.
