    A beautiful hotel in the small village of Villmergen. The hotel is situated in the middle of the village amongst residential flats. It’s a very quiet area apart from the church bells that chime every hour which I didn’t mind at all. The hotel is a 10-minute drive by bus from Wohlen train station which has superb connections to Basel and Zurich airports. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. Supermarkets Migros and Coop can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful on check-in and check-out and with any queries I had. My room was on the 3rd floor at the end of the corridor. The “refreshment station” which offers coffee, tea, water, soft drinks and snack bars for free, was right outside my room which was very handy. The room was spacious with a lot of surface area which I always appreciate in a hotel room. Most hotels only offer a small desk but my room had a long desk, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The most important fact for me is cleanliness and this hotel and my room was absolutely spotless. And to my utter delight the room had no carpet but instead a nice wooden floor. This was an absolute highlight for me because I abhor hotel room carpets. The mattress and pillow were extremely comfortable. It was honestly the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. Usually I don’t sleep well in hotels but I slept for 8 hours straight. The hotel was extremely quiet. I felt very comfortable and totally safe which is important when you travel alone. The restaurant El Toro is the in-house restaurant which serves excellent food (steaks and burgers). Breakfast is served in the restaurant and offers a wide variety of breakfast items – coffee, tea & hot chocolate, fruit juices & even Prosecco. Rolls and croissants, a choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit salad, cold meats & cheese, boiled & scrambled egg. I absolutely loved the breakfast buffet. Actually, I loved everything about this hotel. I can highly recommend it and I have already booked my next stay.

    Rooms are nice enough but they haven't bothered sound proofing them and it's on a busy hill with heavy vehicles going by and a church opposite that rings bells constantly so unless you're deaf don't bother.

    It was great. Rooms and whole hotel were clean.Everyone was kind and ready to help. Breakfast was always on time and fresh. I hope to visit your hotel again soon.
