  I stayed here for one night at end February. Hotel was not high occupancy. They recognise me as Diamond member and accorded me late checkout 2PM. No upgrade given but I was placed on a high floor with good view so no complaints.Check in process was smooth and staff was all very friendly. I tried the Doubletree cookie and it was very chewy and tasty!Room was very clean and spacious. The flooring is very smooth. This is one of the best Doubletree rooms I stayed so far in Asia.Breakfast was ala carte buffet style. You can order as many as you like. Choose between asian or western or both. Free scallion pancakes for diamond members which are great.Overall this is a really great hotel. Definitely better than most other Doubletree in Asia but the price is quite high. Booked for US$200 one night. Location is great and 5 min walk to Zhongshan metro.

  What an Exceptional Hotel! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles, respect and helpfulness. The front desk staff was so attentive and happy. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, modern and well maintained. The hotel was centrally located close to a MRT station, lots of restaurants and shopping, as well as close to a night market. We felt right at home here, especially given the exceptional service from Noris, Teresa and Tina who made us feel welcome, safe and among friends. This was so important since it was our first time in Taipei and Asia. We were a little nervous planning everything while anticipating all the unknowns. A huge Thank You to the entire staff at the Taipei Zhongshan DoubleTree! We can’t wait to come back! 🫶

  This is my third stay at this hotel. Great location - walking distance from the station. Am grateful to be given the room that I liked and have requested prior to my arrival – rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel staff are very warm and welcoming, their service level is remarkable, and they are receptive to feedback. Overall a very pleasant stay and I sincerely recommend this hotel to travelers to Taipei.

  Our family trip to Taipei was made even better thanks to our stay here. The rooms are very clean (and their beds are amazingly comfortable as always with the Hilton), the hotel is a very short walk to the metro, but what makes the hotel shine most are their very helpful staff. Candy, Anna and Jeff helped us out with recommendations and reservations for restaurants, Taiwanese foot/head massages, taxis and more. We'll definitely choose this hotel again.

  Best DoubleTree I’ve ever stayed at — exceptional service with real local character

  I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member and have stayed at many Hilton properties around the world. DoubleTree by Hilton Taipei Zhongshan is without question the best DoubleTree experience I have ever had.The service here is genuinely outstanding, warm, attentive, and sincerely caring in a way I rarely experience, even at many five-star hotels. At times, the level of hospitality felt more like a Conrad. From consistent, heartfelt greetings, to proactive help with luggage, to thoughtful touches such as a Christmas stocking left at my door, it is clear the team takes real pride in what they do.What truly sets this hotel apart is how authentically local it feels. I have never stayed at a Hilton where the lobby lounge has a signature dish that locals actively come to eat. The beef noodle soup is excellent, and the confidence to serve real stinky tofu, yes the real thing, is an unusually authentic and admirable choice for an international hotel brand. It shows deep respect for Taiwanese culture and gives the property a sense of soul that many chain hotels lack.This stay was especially meaningful to me, as it was my first time returning to Taiwan in over three years due to my work schedule as a Taiwanese-born American. The warmth and care shown by the staff made my return genuinely memorable. I am also grateful to the team members who consistently made my parents feel welcomed when they visited the hotel, particularly the daytime server at the lobby café, who was always very kind.A beautiful property run by an exceptional team. This hotel sets a standard that deserves recognition and should be protected as an example of what the DoubleTree brand can be at its very best. Highly recommended.
