  Hotel with great potential but poor sound insulation

  If there’s an option of a 3.5stars, I think that would fit better. So I stayed for 2 nights. Location is great, when you get out of Exit 1 of XinSheng station, u just need to walk straight for 2-3mins. There are 2 convenience stores very close by. Within 5mins of walk, there’s a street filled with plenty of eateries. Size of room is ample for a solo traveller. Room is clean and beds are comfy. Bathroom is of a very good size. Basic amenities like Shower gel/shampoo, kettle and mugs are well provided. Staff were also generally very polite and nice. However, the one big problem I have is the extreme poor sound insulation. On the first morning, I was woken up at like 6+ in the morning by the tv played by the guests in the other room. I can hear exactly which tv show they were watching and I can hear literally every single word of their conversation. Then come night time, on my second night at around midnight when I was ready for bed, I begin hearing noises from the showers and hair drying from the other room. And of course, the conversation of the guests in the other room. I’m not sure why this wasn’t mentioned in the other reviews. Maybe this only happens to certain rooms? I’m not too sure about that. In all, I would definitely NOT recommend to people who are light sleepers. However if you are not bothered with noises, I think this is a good hotel.   Great stay at Hua Shan Din by Cosmos Creation Hotel

  It was easy to book my stay at Hua Shan Din by Cosmos Creation compared to other Taiwan hotels. A lot of the websites would not translate to English for some reason. Anyway, the staff here was terrific! They were very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I arrived late night and had no issues checking in. Their staff noticed I had booked a twin bed room and made it a point to have housekeeping push the beds together the next day for a more comfortable stay. The room was very clean. I will note that my room didn’t have a window but I was ok that.On my last day, I had a late night departure so I requested late checkout which was an additional $300NT and totally worth it. I decided to take it easy my last day and had a spa day. The staff helped me book a massage and manicure/pedicure appointment at nearby establishments that I found. So helpful!The hotel offers a great price point and is a two minute walk to MRT and bus stops. They also have free candy for guests and offer afternoon Thai tea and welcome drinks. You can also do your laundry with their coin operated machines. I would stay here again. (I also highly recommend the massage and nail salon I went to: Shengzhidao Health and Wellness Center - great pressure point body massage and Style nails art 史黛爾藝術美甲 for gel manicures and pedicures).   Good Location for its price

  We stayed in two different rooms during our visit. The family room, designed for four, was located in the middle of the floor level with no windows and featured bunk beds and personal screens —which the kids loved! However, the space was quite tight, reminding me of a basic cruise ship cabin.We later moved to a standard queen room, which had windows and felt much more spacious—closer to a typical hotel room size. We moved room because my husband had to leave early for work, but it turned out to be a more comfortable option.The hotel’s location is great, with plenty of dining options nearby. My absolute favorite part? The fantastic coffee and cocktail bar right next to the hotel!   Cute hotel, but service doesn't go above and beyond

  This is a cute hotel, but don't expect anyone to go above and beyond for you. Here are the pros and cons we experienced:Pros:-Fun and funky decor based on a bank that the building was formerly used for-Clean room and comfortable beds-Fast elevatorsCons:-All we could find at the free snack bar was very sweet candy or bland crackers. None of the labels were in English, so if you don't speak the language, you just have to let yourself be surprised.-We wanted to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant the first night, but they said it was all booked. We didn't see anyone inside, but maybe they were coming later...-The next night, we had a very long day and rushed to get back to the restaurant before it closed at 9 pm. We got there at 10 minutes to 9. The sign outside said "Open", but when we went in they told us they were already closed. We hadn't eaten all day, and other restaurants were not open because it was the Taiwan New Year. We asked them if we could just get some food to take to our room, and they said no. The front desk suggested Uber Eats or Panda Express, but we were just too tired to try to find a place that was available through these apps, so we ate crackers for dinner.-The breakfast buffet was pretty limited, and especially so for a vegan. I pretty much just ate the fried tofu and french fries. There was some vegan ham, but it tasted like chewy cardboard. The coffee from the coffee machine at the buffet produced a beige shade of hot water.-The coffee offered in the room was a blend of coffee and cream powder, which doesn't work for a vegan.Other people might have a better experience, especially if they book outside of the New Year and/or they speak the language, and if they are not vegan.
