    Small but superb deputy manager

    rating24 Apr 2026

This hotel tends to be on the smaller side but it's location is incomparable if you like Ximending. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful, but the top management not so much. A big shout out to the deputy manager Mr. Chou, who is extremely understanding and easy to communicate. We are offered free afternoon tea tickets due to some minor issues in our room. A great deal of Koreans and Japanese tourists stay here. I don't think I'll stay here more than one week if I have two week vacations as the breasfast buffets gets old. The candy shop, though, provide some novelty.

    Very good hotel in Taipei

    rating29 Mar 2026

Ideal location for sightseeing, with a spacious and clean room. The breakfast buffet was abundant, and the staff were very friendly. One small suggestion for improvement: the towels could be washed at a higher temperature to avoid any odors.

Disappointing Stay at Taipei Garden Hotel

    rating17 Jan 2026

I recently stayed at the Taipei Garden Hotel, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations. While there were a few bright spots, the room quality and overall facility layout were frustrating. The Room & FacilitiesThe room felt quite small and was plagued by several maintenance issues. The toilet flush button was broken, the closet light wouldn't turn off, and the bathroom faucet was overly powerful, which made a mess every time you use. I also found the lighting system very confusing, it seemed impossible to close the blackout curtains without the master switch turning off every light in the room. The "Crap" pillows made it difficult to get a good night's rest, though I will say the blackout curtains themselves were very effective. Additionally, the lobby is tiny with almost nowhere to sit or wait for a car, making arrivals and departures feel cramped. Not fitting of a 'grand' hotel as the Chinese name suggests. Dining & BreakfastBreakfast was a "crazy busy" affair every morning. The food quality felt like a mediocre Las Vegas buffet, and because the menu was exactly the same every single day, it became repetitive very quickly. The GymOn the positive side, the gym does offer free weights, which is a nice touch for a hotel. However, the layout is bizarre, as there is a loud elevator shaft behind a screen making odd noises while you workout.SummaryPros: Blackout curtains, free weights in the gym.Cons: Small rooms, broken fixtures, repetitive breakfast, poor lobby layout, uncomfortable pillows.I likely wouldn’t choose to stay here again given the many functional issues with the room.

Perfect Stay with Kids Near Lungshan Temple

    rating23 Oct 2025

Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights with family last July 2 to 4. The location was perfect — just a 10–15 minute walk from the train station, with plenty of 7-Eleven stores nearby and a large Carrefour open 24/7. It’s also within walking distance of Bopiliao Historic Block and Lungshan Temple. Irene at Reception was very friendly, and our check-in experience was smooth. The rooms were spacious, high-tech, and very clean. The breakfast buffet offered a well-balanced selection. The hotel café bar provided free kids' snacks, which my daughter loved — she had fun trying different Taiwanese treats. We were warmly greeted and assisted by Lisa and Peter from Concierge, who were both incredibly kind and helpful. They also guided us in arranging our airport transfer. We had a great time staying here and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
