  Kilindi was such a fabulous experience. From the moment we arrived it felt special - a beautiful setting with great accommodation and food, but best of all, the staff. They were all absolutely delightful and really went out of their way to help with anything and everything. We were very sorry to leave!   The property seems lovely upon entrance (although the street/neighborhood just outside the main gate is horrendous), but the accommodations are VERY stale. The spin on the website is more than marketing; the descriptions are simply disingenuous, especially about the bathrooms. The AGM knew as much because it was the first bombshell shared with us when starting our arrival tour. The fine print for the “all-inclusive” option is what you would expect at a 3-star property, not what you expect from a fully-priced resort aspiring to 5-stars. The food is good, not great. Every top property management will tell you to alert them to any issues, so they can address them real-time. We were told one of our concerns would be addressed. It wasn’t. We were told that they would revert on a solution for a separate issue. They didn’t. Also, every top property management requests you provide post-trip feedback if any issues before posting a review. They said they would send a survey. They didn’t. I proactively reached out for a survey or a contact to provide feedback. No reply. The location is picturesque. But when you get past the view, you realize that the 4am and daily noise from the fishermen and the rather dirty beach make the scenery a mirage.The staff is wonderful. They work very hard, are welcoming, and care. Abdul was a great ambassador. After two days, we left 3 nights of our prepaid booking unused, and relocated to another resort at great expense (That ought to really emphasize the sincerity of our thoughts!). Our expectations were low for the next place, assuming that you could only achieve so much in ZNZ. When we walked into paradise in Paje, it became even more obvious that Kilindi is just a tired, over-priced 3-star property. I could go on but will simply close by saying that there are far far far better options in beautiful ZNZ.   Kilindi Exceeded Expectations

  My wife and I decided to book this hotel as a part of our honeymoon trip in East Africa. We couldn’t have made a better decision. Everything about the Kilindi is top tier, from the staff to the facilities and everything in- between. Our personal butler, Witness, made our stay better than we could have ever hoped. She always leads with a huge smile and strives to anticipate your every need. We felt this way about all of the staff at Kilindi. Meagan, the assistant manager, is an absolute pleasure and she sets the tone immediately upon your arrival. You are greeted warmly and welcomed with drinks and introductions to the staff. The villas are absolutely stunning and provide absolute privacy. Other than the absolutely wonderful staff and grounds, the food was among the best we’ve had anywhere in the world. Everything was made fresh and executed to perfection. There is nothing we would change about our stay at Kilindi. Thank you Witness for making our stay unforgettable!   Kilindi is wonderful place to relax!

  We spent wonderful eight days in Kilindi a great place to escape from the everyday routine. Everything there was just great - the beauty of the views, the serenity, the villa, the food… but the most amazing thing there is the staff - everyone is so helpful and attentive!
