  A Thoroughly Enjoyable Experience

  Four enjoyable evenings at Langi Langi on Nungwi Beach. One room on the water front and another in the bungalows around the pool with the wild Dik-diks.Great location for a beach vacation. Clear water that was great for swimming in and protected from the boats. The beach boys eventually give up.

  I booked directly through the owners or head office in Dubai which was a big mistakei found it cheaper on booking.comThe attitude of S£$%d in Dubai doesn't care once they have been paid, they even charge extra for the airport pick up US$50 BUT ITS CHEAPER BY TAXII arrived at the hotel & the kitchen was closed which is understandableHealth & hygiene in the kitchens at the resort seem non existent, being a chef myself for more than 40 years i was horrified to see the head chef with his dreadlocks completely exposed down his back & past his behind, he wore the same swimming baggies for the 6 days & nights of my stay. the white cutting board un the kitchen next to reception is nearly black, hence why i stopped have cooked food from the hotelThe staff are very pleasant & helpful but they are in need of some new t shirts as theirs are worn out & drabthe dining tables are old & in a dyer condition, old furniturei ate out every lunch & dinnerthis was my first time in Zanzibar & i wasn't impressed with Langi Langi at allas for the room that i was allocated room 119, luckily i am a relatively fit 67 year old as my room was a flight of 19 steps, my room was a 5 out of 10 & that's being generous the mosquito net didn't look like it had been washed in years, the bed was so HARD that the only way i managed to sleep was if i was DRUNK & i am being seriousOther nearby hotels were much more professional & smarter in their appearanceThe Nungwi park is a very professional & outstanding hotelThe videos that are posted on TIKTOK about Langi Langi must be FAKE because i never saw anything like that

  Perfectly inperfect, beautiful and full of rustique charm

  We loved it! A place full of charm and quirkyness, perfect for people who don’t want shiny marble and inpersonal perfection. Right on top of the turqoise beach, overlooking the sea. Quiet sunbed area without vendors. Friendly staff, and the great Rastafari owner, a former drummer for a variety of great artists, was a true character. Chatted with us all, and baked lovely cakes every day for breakfast. Our room had air condition and was cleaned every day, and we had a nice balcony overlooking the lovely garden and pool. We slept so well, on the hard beds! The only reason we don’t give it five stars, is the food. Although it was ok, it was not great. But there are other restaurants right next door. All in all, a perfect place to stay, we highly recommend it!

  Worse staffs worse reservations bad garden not maintenance.

  Worse rooms , terrible manager , rude and arrogant dirty rooms , showers not working , washrooms stuck, bad small rooms, local hotels are better than this don’t come . I had booked 3 rooms and just spoiled my kids vacation.

  Best Hotel in Tanzania!

  We spent a month at Langi Langi in Nov/December 2024. We had a fantastic time and this was due largely to the wonderful staff. Pauline on reception was the first person we met, on reception and she was so friendly. All the staff were very friendly and polite. The rooms were so clean, and comfortable. The restaurant had the best view, and the food was beautiful, fresh and home cooked. We often had fish that had been caught just hours earlier and it was so tasty. Breakfast was tasty, there were omelettes, bruschetta, fruit, cereal, cakes, juices, prepared to order. Toast, cake, so much variety. The absolute star of the show is Rasta, the owner. Always had time to chat, and also to help out and give his staff a hand, be it clearing tables, or cooking the freshly caught fish, it says it all, he respected his staff, his staff were happy, and that showed in the way they treated customers.The location is absolutely perfect. You are just steps from the wonderful beach with gorgeous sunsets and a clear blue sea. There is a beautiful pool in the grounds that is very clean and has plenty of shade if you don’t like the sea and sand.We can recommend Langi Langi so highly, and we are going back again this year. In 10 months time. Counting down the days already. Thank you to every member of staff, the cleaners, the waiters, security staff. You made our holiday wonderful. Emma and David.
