    Booked as part of a safari tour in Tanzania, not impressed with tiny room assigned to us. Paid same amount as friends traveling with, they were assigned large room with ocean view, us given very small room with tiny glimpse of ocean

    Very nice location, very near to the airport. The ocean view is breathtaking, and the overall atmosphere is so welcoming. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help. Everything was very clean, including the room. Big thanks to the manager, Sayed Aly, and all the staff members for the excellent hospitality.

    A truly wonderful stay at Tembo Hotel in Stone Town. Our stay at Tembo Hotel was absolutely delightful, and once again exceeded our expectations. The location is simply perfect – right by the beach, yet in the heart of the city – making it an ideal base for exploring Stone Town and setting off on various excursions. The staff were genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive, always quick to help and fix anything if needed, which made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. The food was delicious, with beautifully prepared meals that added to the overall experience. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring restful nights after long days of exploring. This was our second time staying at Tembo Hotel, and it certainly won’t be our last. We can wholeheartedly and warmly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, fantastic food, and an unbeatable location in Zanzibar.Best regards from The sisters 26/4-26

    Amazing hotel, I loved 😍 the 🚿, it was intense in a nice way and the decor of the bathroom was soo antic, so Zanzibar.The breakfast I must say surpassed my expectations, the crepes were out of this world, my daughter's favorite 😋😋Their was definitely leadership presence as the manager checked up on us about our bfast experience.They have 2 pools, on the ground and roof top and games as well.We got to play 🏓 ping pong.Its located near the food market- Forodhani hence dinners are sorted . Check out is at 10am but when we requested for one more hour, we were granted and this is wat I call great customer care.Thanks!

    This is a boutique hotel with so much grace and character that you will amazed . The decor , furniture and ambience is suspended in time immortal. All staff are welcoming and extremely polite . You will remember their hospitality long after you’ve checked out . Here you will cherish your sunrise and sunset against a backdrop of undulating dhows dancing on waves . You can step onto their beach almost from the lobby ! A few more steps and you’re swimming in the sea . We were fortunate to have the Tulia suite where the balcony almost rested on the beach . Nothing short of wonderment ! No issues with cleanliness or requests. The cuisine caters well and chef Mahavir was very happy to accommodate different palates and tastes . Appreciate your aloo parathas Mahavir ! The manager Mr Abdul Aziz D Yusuf is a most gracious host and ensured the guests were all welcomed and happy. His personal approach and courtesy to us all in ensuring our stay was comfortable tells you about the measure of hospitality here . Any shortfalls??? Yes ; should have spent more time here . Will be back
