Location

This hotel is situated on Rama IV Road, from where guests can easily reach shopping and entertainment facilities on foot. The famous Patpong night market with its colourful hustle and bustle, stalls, cook shops and bars is also only a short walk away. Bangkok airport is about 25 km away.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 400 rooms, including 18 suites and 92 single rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, medical assistance, a transfer service, translation services, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use.     I had an issue with room service order. the wrong order was brought up. I spoke to the front desk the next morning about it. The front desk stated they would call the food manager and get back to me with a response/resolution. I did not hear from anyone that day. Followed up upon my check out the next day. The front desk informed me it was my responsibility to follow back up with them later the same day. I hope this review was worth it.     Mandarin hotel has a good location. We could walk to shopping malls and to Lumpini park, and it s not far from Mahanakhon Sky Walk.The staff is welcoming and helpful. The room had everything we needed with complementary drinks and snacks. The bathroom was clean. The value/money ratio is good to me. I liked the breakfast too, there were tasty croissants!There are shuttles with 3 different routes which can take you for free to a destination.     Everything was perfect as far as we were concerned.The quality of the building and furnishings was way above our expectations.The outside pool was one of the best that I have swam in though just a tad on the cold side though once the sun reached it it warmed up perfectly.     Great location hotel showing signs of its ageThe wifi was fast, the smart tv was annoying because we constantly had to sign into netflix after the tv went off.Pool and gym were small but serviceable.     There is the good, the bad and the ugly.Good: clean rooms, clean lobby and efficient service.Bad: No bars in the hotel or real entertainment in this hotel. Also they are now asking 2,000 baht cash deposit in case of ' incidentals ' if you choose to pay by credit card, you wait three weeks for money back.i don't like this system ugly : outside the hotel, nothing much unless you get a taxi.
