    I stayed at Marigold Hotel for 21 days from Feb to March. The hotel is situated in a very local area with different kinds of convenience such as 12 mins walk to BTS Samrong station, 8 mins walk to Imperial World shopping mall and Big C supermarket, 5 mins walk to 7 Eleven. There are many local shops around Marigold Hotel. The buffet breakfast is good and tasty. My room was very clean and spacious. All the staff are very friendly from front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, and concierge. There is a microwave which is located on each floor corridor for the hotel guests use. They charged reasonable price for staying in Marigold. Certainly, I will come back and stay in Marigold again.

    Don't waste your time nor money - AVOID!

    AVOID! All that glitters is NOT (mari)GOLD!Rooms old, scuffed & in need of TLC. Balcony door did not lock. Asked for alternative room, again balcony door did NOT lock, so security guard had to dismantle the door lock & secure!Bed VERY hard, I think they actually forgot to put a mattress on the bed base, it was that hard! Sheets were clean tho!Booking stated view of swimming pool, Receptionist stated it had view of such, see picture ....can you spot it, as no pool in view!Air Con noisy in addition to constant whirring sound all night.On a positive the shower functioned to a decent standard & there was shower gel & soap, although mould soap scum in places!Majority of the hotel, away from the main Reception area, dirty; accumulation of dust & grime. On reflection, this is why it probably only gets 4 on reviews. Plus, I have had the most bites from mosquito's at The Marigold despite travelling through Indonesia & Malaysia, as the Hotel is riddled with them, takes no precautionary measures against & actually leaves your windows open at dusk to welcome them in!*BEWARE* if booking, I would suggest you ensure you don't book a Non-refundable deal as Hotel unable to resolve my concerns, so informed I would be leaving after one night & suggested they refund 50% of my 4 night stay, but refused. Sadly not a token gesture of the usual Thailand hospitality! **WARNING** Although this is outside of the Hotel's jurisdiction, to reach the Hotel from the BTS station, if dark, the main under covered walk way is literally rat infested.Way out of Bangkok centre, HOTEL NAME is DECEPTIVE, good if you like to explore the more socially deprived areas of Bangkok.In 5 months of travelling, I have not experienced such negativity as in less than 24hrs of being at The Marigold!

    The hotel is dirty and the balcony door would not lock (we tried X2 rooms). Lots of mosquitos and we got a lot of bites, the area is run down and there were lots of rats walking back at night. We asked to cancel our booking but they said no so we left anyway

    Basic old hotel, located not in the center. Close to the imperial center mall. Old rooms, with old furniture. Pool is located basicly on the street. Close to the BTS station, 10 minutes of walk. Recomended for mayve one or two nights. For this price is OK.
