  We booked a Double Room with Private Toilet during Songkran 2023 season and we're thankful we managed to get a good price despite the holiday season. The property is within walking distance to the rambunctious Khao San Road and Soi Rambuttri (less than 5 minutes away) but tucked in a quiet part of the neighborhood so expect a good night's sleep (down a cold bottle of Chang to be sure). There's a sari sari store just outside the alley, a 7 Eleven 150 meters away, and McDonald's Ratchadamnoen 400 meters away. Though vocally impaired, the receptionist is cheerful and extremely helpful with concerns about the accommodation. Overall great value for money!

  My friend and I were greeted by a lady who couldn’t understand a word of English, but she showed us round after FaceTiming the owner to confirm our booking. The rooms are decent, and well air conditioned. It’s located very close to Khao San Road.

  My husband and I stayed 3 nights here. Our room had air con and hot shower. The bed was very comfortable and had nice firm pillows as well. The owner and the rest of the staff are super nice. The guesthouse is conveniently located near Khaosan Road..yet we don't hear all the noise coming from there, which is good. It's close to our favorite local eating places, 7-11, and the bus stop. I like how we can check in at any time of the day or night. They have someone there late at night, so we never had to worry about getting locked out. The kind man working nights even gave me a couple extra blankets. The rooms are clean, there is wi fi. and the owner and staff are awesome and very helpful. Great place!

  What A Nightmare...

  We booked a room at Crown Guest House but I guess since it's a shared business we were taken down the street to this one. The room is very small, but what do you expect, I guess. The only real positives are the A/C was cold, within 5 minutes walking distance to the main strip, and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. Otherwise, this sucked. Toilet paper wasn't provided. The wifi code wasn't even given, we had to go ask someone on our second day. Once we had the password, I tried logging in very, very many times with both my phone and laptop but the connection was so bad it didn't work. I had gone out for a night on the town our first night, so I stayed out til about 430-5AM and went to bed...not sober. I was awakened not 4 hours later by the owner slamming on my door like a madman asking when we were gonna leave the room through the day because he had people coming in to install new A/C units. I somehow managed to remain polite, but I was furious at the time. Can't believe you'd book reno's to be done when people have already paid for a room. After this, I couldn't get back to sleep because guys were hammering and making noise all day installing the units in other rooms, so I just laid there hungover and fuming. I guess it would've been a 3 star stay if the AC issue didn't happen.

  This place is very closer to Khaosan Road (KSR) activity area , you can reach KSR within 3-5 minutes from this hotel. Rates are cheaper than mid KSR area. Access: When you come from Democracy monument side to reach the famous Khaosan Road you have to come along Tanao Road and KRS is at LHS of Tanao Road. Go along the Tanao road passing KSR and you can see there are 3 small roads to the right side of Tanao Road. Enter the middle road and follow sighs to the New Central Guest House. Room Rates are very reasonable, especially single room with fan is very cheap. Owner is very friendly and speaks English. Normally an old lady is there at reception , she will telephone the management and link you as she knows only Thai language. The place is very quite as it is away from high power sound systems in KSR. Good for a single traveler or for a couple. If you have kids, go and see the rooms first because they are bit small.
