Location

Located right in the heart of the city of angels, Bangkok, this top class international hotel enjoys an ideal setting. It is set on top of the most popular wholesale and retail mall, The Platinum Fashion mall. The hotel is adjacent to shopping, entertainment and business centres with the Sky Train Station a short stroll from the hotels' doorstep. Central World and The Royal Paragon Hall are just a few minutes' walk. The hotel is also only a 10-minute drive from the MBK Centre, while the Suvarnabhumi International Airport is approximately 30 km away and Don Muang Airport is 25 km from the hotel.

Facility

283 rooms, including 11 suites and 229 double rooms, are located on 25 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer and bathrobes are provided. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

    ⭐☆☆☆☆ — Square Restaurant, Novotel Platinum PratunamWe have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — and every single time the experience has been the same: rude staff, zero service, and complete indifference towards guests.Breakfast, which should be the most straightforward meal of the day at a hotel, was no different. Staff were reluctant to help, unapproachable, and had no knowledge of what they were even serving. You are left to fend for yourself while staff stand around showing no interest in doing their job.At dinner it only got worse. Getting someone to take an order felt like an inconvenience to them. Basic questions about the menu were met with blank stares. The attitude was borderline rude — not what anyone expects from a Novotel property

    The hotel is nice with great amenities and very central in Bangkok, but the staff and check in process ruined the beginning of the stay. They ask you to check in online and give them your preferences, but then proceed to ignore them whilst also having an extended check in process on arrival in which we weren’t even given all the information. Our bags were taken on arrival by staff, but then never delivered to our room. Instead I was forced to go down 30 min later and ask for them again, at which point I was told they would be delivered soon but I decided to wait and take them myself. It shouldn’t take 45 min to deliver bags to your room! We would’ve just taken them ourselves if we knew. Overall the staff just doesn’t seem bothered. They also charge extra for beds for young children which does not make sense. Usually hotels will provide them for kids under 10 but here they somehow expect you to share bed with kids. Which also wasn’t stated on their website. 1400 baht pers night for a little bed isn’t acceptable. Breakfast is ok, nothing out of the ordinary but it looks pretty. The fact that you have to take 2 elevators to get out is also an unnecessary hassle. Spa treatments cost about 3x more than on the street.
