  Don't be fooled by the OLD photos. It's much worse now.

  I stayed at Siam Journey Guesthouse recently.I am surprised to see the photos and great reviews on Tripadvisor. Nothing looks the same.But I know why. They are very old photos from 2015. I guess back then it was a decent guesthouse, but I think that since the Pakistani owner took over the place, it all went downwards!He is a friendly guy, but hygiene-wise it's a disaster. See my pics..New pics from 2025 😉 If you have a little more budget, you better go to another hostel.

  Ok guesthouse with a large 12 bed dorm (luckily only half full when I was here) and a comfortable common area (living room, kitchen, dining table)...I liked the location, tucked away in a small alley, but within easy walking distance to the phayathai station...staff was friendly and helpful and directed me to great street food nearby

  I stayed in SJGH many times during my visits in Bangkok. It was like a second home for me. Very friendly people and lovely hood with real local shops and restaurants. The location is perfect and the its very safe there as I always walked around at night and nothing ever happened. Place was always clean and comfortable. I'd def come back here whenever I can.

  The volunteer here is very friendly and caring. Location is also a plus side cause it's quite close to Phaya Thai BTS and easy to walk to the best Tom Yum restaurant in town (Pe Aor).But the room is so small, and very far to the toilet. The lift is extremely steep even makes you thrown out while you're too full. When we first check in, room has not cleaned yet, bin bag not replaced, bed sheet - blanket - cushion cover were still dirty.

  I stayed for one night, this is a pretty typical hostel. The service was friendly and welcoming, the facilities were clean, the bed was average level of comfort. Overall there is nothing that would really make me recommend or not recommend this place. If you are looking for a cheap bed in this area of Bangkok, then it is perfectly fine. It's close to the BTS which is a bonus.
