Basic, but acceptable. Somewhat convenient for BKK airport

    rating23 Feb 2024

We had two rooms here for a short overnight stay (arrived at about 11 pm, and left around 10 the next morning). The rooms (two triples) were fine. As noted by others, the beds were quite hard, but OK.We took taxis from BKK, taking about 15-20 minutes. There is a separate queue for such "local" destinations, which use the taxi meter, and add 50 THB for the airport fee, and 20 THB for each large/medium bag. Between the two taxis 96 people and 5 bags), it cost about 700 THB. There is no taxi rank near the accommodation, but the male receptionist at the time helped us to call a van --- which was kid of him. The van brought us all for about 800 THB.They have an unusual wifi access mechanism: a voucher with an account and password for two people. There is a convenience store across the road. We didn't explore further. We interacted with two receptionists. A lady when we arrived (who was not great), and the gentleman in the morning, who was excellent.Overall, an OK stay. Given the prices for transport, I am not sure that staying "so close" is a major advantage. The room prices were low, but the taxis/transfer costs were about what we'd expect to pay for a downtown trip. We may simply stay downtown next time.

    Horrible place, don’t go here

    rating29 Oct 2022

The bed is super hard and the air conditioner is so loud that you won’t be able to sleep. I had to change the hotel and the reception promised to give me a refund through booking.com. They ignore mine and booking.com mails and don’t care. Horrible people!

    Very good apartments

    rating12 Dec 2013

I have been there several times and I can't complain about King One. There are different rooms and prices from 450 baht to 1000+ baht a big suite. The price is also based on the number of days you stay. So as more days you stay there you get a cheaper room.Staff and owners are very friendly, and always willing to help you out. Room was very clean and there's also cleaning staff who will clean the rooms if you ask them at no additional cost. The apartments include a gym, pool billiard and a nice reading room on the first floor (Called 2nd floor in Thailand), and also a parking. The apartments are located in a soi and the only one issue there is that there are not much empty taxis which pass by on the street, however there are motorbike taxis which bring you to On Nut Road where one can easily find a taxi.I would definitely recommend it.

    cement hard bed, over-priced

    rating11 Mar 2012

It's unbelievable anyone would recommend this place. There are plenty of other airport hotels which provide better facilities at lower costs. The only highlight is that some of the staff are very friendly. The free airport pick up was slow (more than 30 min), partly because Agoda doesn't facilitate mentioning an arrival time after you booked your hotel, but also because the hotel doesn't have a car standby for guest's convenience. I had to confirm the time of departure for the next day before the manager left the day before, there is no flexibility or short term action possible. Both the reception and the cleaning staff are very friendly. The room is really nothing special. The bed is the hardest I had in a few years, I couldn't sleep all night and I finally figured out in the morning it wasn't because of the aircon but because of the bed. I went down to the reception (there is no phone to the reception in the room!) to ask for more beddings so I could try to sleep on to of them, the guy wanted to charge me for it! Finally I grabbed them from next door room, and sleeping on 4 pillows put out in length and 2 blankets I could get a few more hours sleep. The room is dark, there is no view whatsoever, they covered the view with a fence and took the balcony for a shower. Depressing.I stayed in several airport hotels near Suvarnabhumi before and all of them were better and at lower costs than the astonishing 1,000 baht. I booked a more expensive hotel hoping to get more facilities / luxury, the contrary appeared to be true. The floor is of the type that may never become really clean.
