    Perfect stopover solution for BKK

    Ideal when doing a short BKK Stopover- in our case landed at 10am departing next day 3am - tough choice: 1/ store luggage somewhere do your things and get on a flight exhausted, feeling dirty or 2/ Book a room for 1 night drop your luggage do your things and enjoy the pool on top floor- relaxing atmosphere, very reasonably priced cocktails and healthy juices unwind and have a rest.

    Nice hotel 400 meters to the shops and tourist areas. Lovely big room with good a/c ,shower and comfy bed. Good choices at breakfast. Lovely roof top pool and bar. Peir 3 is a twenty minutes tuc tuc ride away 2-3 hundred bhat. Would recommend

    Short-term profit over long-term loyalty

    I stayed at this hotel several times and always planned to return, but my recent experience was deeply disappointing.I had a fully cancellable 4-night booking that I genuinely believed had been cancelled. If I had known it was still active, I would have cancelled it immediately at no cost. Instead, the hotel charged me for the entire stay and refused any form of credit or goodwill.What makes this even more difficult to understand is that I already had another confirmed booking at the same hotel just a few weeks later, which I fully intended to use — meaning the hotel would have earned the same revenue anyway.Despite this, and despite my history as a returning guest, the only thing mentioned was a possible room upgrade, which does not address the issue at all. This shows a clear preference for short-term profit over long-term loyalty.

    Surestay Plus Hotel By Best Western Sukhumvit 2 – Hotel is located on a quiet street. Check in staff were friendly and efficient – the Receptionist asked if we wanted to join Best Western Rewards – when we advised we were already members she didn’t want any further information. Most of the group were allocated 3rd floor, our room was on the 6th and was spacious, clean and comfortable the usual free bottled water and tea/coffee. Basic bathroom amenities/toiletries and a walk in rainfall shower. The hotel had a lovely infinity pool and sky bar on the 9th floor with great views of the city and sunset. We decided to have dinner here. We did find this location was probably the most expensive of those that we visited with drinks prices like the UK within the hotel. After dinner we ventured out and discovered the parallel street Sukhumvit 4 Alley which was a very busy street full of bars, restaurants and lets just say “Bangkok Nightlife” very popular with western tourists. We found it was good that the hotel was in a quiet street with the option of something livelier just a short walk away.We booked the Bridge on the River Kwai and Thailand-Burma Railway Guided Tour directly ourselves via Tripadvisor/Viator.https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/AttractionProductReview-g293916-d15097874-Bridge_on_the_River_Kwai_and_Thailand_Burma_Railway_Guided_Tour-Bangkok.htmlOur last day was spent enjoying the city with river taxis, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, Asiatique and a visit to a night market.
