    Good hostel for the price

It’s a good hostel for what you pay for. The staff was friendly. The social areas are a little off. Outside is quite nice to sit.The dormitory is oke, beds are fine also the curtains add to more privacy. They leave aircon on at all times.Bathrooms need to be refurbished, they look a little worn out.My main concern was the location. It’s a little far from any central area. But you can take the BTS. Which is also quite a walk away. Also, you cannot walk to sukhumvit. You probably can but it’s not going to be a nice road. There’s a shopping mall close by which adds to the value.

    Nice hospitality but weak facilities

    rating30 Dec 2018

Honestly the owner and the hostel staff are very friendly and nice, but location of hostel is the problem. It’s quiet far around 500m to nearest BTS skytrain and also a bit quiet and dark zone at night time to walk around the hostel (safe but still need to worries) also the stinky water canal around the hostel smelly. Lucky for the guest easy to find food around the hostel, restaurant or street food vendor available nearby also 711 convenience market. For guest stay at dormitory must be aware for many local long stayer at the dormitory that don’t care about respect each other especially for us as a traveller. And the room door with RFD card access very noise those many people at dormitory in and out from the room. Old school style shower room join with the toilet also felt like really at public shower room. Kitchen and common area make the guest cozy to stay inside. Strong wifi at anywhere, and mosquitoes bite at common area in the lobby.

    Comfortable for the price

Nice little hostel for what it offers, clean room and a functional bathroom. Common area was lacking in atmosphere but had space and facilities if you needed to cook.Location is ok but still quite a walk to anything, although the metro line is located close to the supermarket which is handy.Very cheap and good if you only stay a few nights.

    Wasn’t great

No air-con in room, rooms are cramped with beds so you have no personal space, only income of cold air is the rubbish fans attached to the ceiling which nearly hit you in the face when you get off the bed, bathrooms alright! Bit manky, good for one night while travelling

VX The Fifty is beyond my expectation. Thanks for served me well for my first trip to Bangkok. The place is very nice, comfort, friendly, location wise and clean. Most of all, you pay peanut for gem! Got kitchen which equipped with all necessary thing that a proper kitchen need. It is shared by all the people that stay here. Also got a section for leisure. Got board games, music instrument etc here for you. That's all I could write as I really need to go toilet now!
