    Overpriced, out of the way and a bit rundown

    Stayed a night here before a golf outing at Bangpoo. It was a nightmare reaching Samut from the other end of Bangkok, topped off with the amount of construction going on in the area. Although the hotel is close to some major shopping outlets and restaurants, the hotel itself is set back from the main road amidst some very urban industrial real estate that made me think of the Port of New Jersey. As close as you are to the river, you wouldn't know it. Hotel reception was attentive but average, very limited (to no) English. Room was fine: reasonably spacious, seemingly clean although bathroom was Spartan basic and the shower gel dispenser fell off the wall when I tried to use it. Room was entirely windowless, but quiet. I made mistake of eating at the outdoor beer garden which, although slightly charming ambience, seemed peopled by some girls who were gearing up for karaoke with unnamed "clients" later that night and the food was awful. I chose a pork noodle dish and a beer, and by morning I was violently ill - food poisoning! For about $43 US it was more than overpriced - for the same, you can find a nice, boutique hotel in the heart of Bangkok - and the food illness made me cancel my golf outing.

    Cool Hotel With Beer Garden

    Really like this hotel in Bang Pu. It has awesome wood molding throughout the entire building. This would cost a forture in the West and it is beautifully done. The rooms themselves are basic but absolutely spotless. I stayed in the double bed basic room and liked its spaciousness. The Thai food here is very very good, the Chef is amazing. I ate dinner here two of the three nights I was here. Thai with some Isaan dishes very well done. The beer garden is really awesome and is fully covered. You can relax here and have a Singha beer. I really liked this about the hotel. There is also a traditional Thai message center here right outside the beer garden as well as a drinky bar.

    I stayed there for only 1 night. My room was spacious 2 bedroom 1 bathroom , could stay for 4 persons.Location is near Tesco Lotus Bangpu, Samut Pakarn province 17 km from center. I paid 1200 thb (40 usd)Overall is good hotel.
