A Zen Retreat from the City

    rating23 Jan 2024

Highly recommend this hotel!Went to Bangkok on a trip for a friend's wedding and we stayed here. Its a great hotel! Room, toilet and bed were all clean and in great condition there is also free WiFi. Very comfortable bed, and pillows, had two aircons in my room both kept the room nice and cool no problems. Room comes with tea and a kettle as well, and the staff speak a decent level of english I never had any problems having my questions answered. Great value for what you pay! My room was nice and dark through the night which made sleeping that much easier and also not very noisy at all. Great location about 10mins walk from the local train station to take you to ICONSiam, and more like 15-20 to a nearby market with a great selection of food, fruits and stalls.Great hotel service, i usually don't eat hotel food because its quite generic but the thai porridge was the best i've had, the tom yum omurice was delicious and my friend had the teriyaki chicken which he loved. The hotel will provide you with bottles of water throughout your stay everytime they clean your room they will restock the fridge and you can ask for more at the front desk as you come and go. Just make sure you hang the tag on the outside of your room asking them to clean your room. There is a shophouse restaurant right around the corner open 24/7 with a lot of delicious food also! I got the chicken rice like 3 times, very authentic flavours and food there.

Fine place, but make sure to get room facing away from highway

    rating19 Mar 2023

Basic hotel with limited services. Got off to a rocky start for me as they required 1000 THB deposit - cash only - upon check in. That was a surprise to me and I was lucky to have changed money prior to arrival at the hotel. First night - with a queen deluxe. The size and layout of the room was fine, but it faces the noisy highway. The hotel kindly accomodated my request to move to a room on the opposite side of the building for a much much quieter stay the following two nights. They threw in free breakfast in return. The rooms have a nice design, and the bathrooms are well appointed. Breakfast options are ala carte - and ordered the night prior. The location is ok, not great - and easily located by grab drivers. It was a 10 minute walk to the nearest 7-11 for water and other provisions.

Great spot just outside the city

    rating17 Jan 2019

Great boutique hotel to stay in right next to the highly efficient BTS (local public transport). This is a great spot rooms are clean and well looked after with a great Japanese zen feel, out of the hustle of the city making it easier to sleep and retreat somewhere without all the noise. There is also a great rooftop garden where you can see great city views. The hotel food was amazing! I don't usually like to eat hotel food because its usually very plain but the team at Zenniq have done a great job at creating a delicious menu, they may need to work on their vegetarian menu though. There's a great local market that runs everyday just a 15 minute walk from the hotel where you can find a lot of delicious food and fruits, the famous mango sticky rice is here as well! Staff were very friendly and helpful as well no complaints to be made.

    Comfortable, Clean, Convenient Boutique hotel

    rating15 Jan 2019

Zenniq is right off the BTS. It is a small boutique hotel with clean and spacious rooms. We felt very comfortable there. Be sure to take the instruction sheet at the front desk for your taxi drivers--that was very helpful! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms facing the street were a little noisy, but, it didn't bother us. The heavy drapes cut the noise down a bit and kept the room dark and cool for sleeping. Amenities smelled great! Breakfast was included and you could select from a variety of options. I had the salmon Benedict one morning and it was delicious! It did have shaved bonito flakes on top, so, if the smell of that is too fishy for you, just ask them to not include it. They don't have room service because most just buy take out from nearby cafes and bring them up to the room. We took a delightful walk near the local train station and experienced the local lifestyle with people preparing foods, grilling and selling hot food, resting in their homes and people going about their daily life! Can't find that in a museum! The hotel is about a 10 minute (approximately $7.50) taxi ride from Asiatique, a shoppers' paradise for comfy Thai pants, fragrances, clothing, bags, jewelry, food (including insects and alligator meat to grilled foods, noodles and fruits). I would definitely stay at Zenniq again!
