    Friendly Service

Stopped by for breakfast on the beach after my morning exercise. The staff were very friendly, especially Khun Ying, who made me feel very welcome even as an external guest. The breakfast quality matched the price. A nice, relaxed start to the day. Super 4th visit to Bangsak Village.

    rating31 Jan 2026

This was our fourth visit to Bangsak Village and hopefully not our last. The hotel is small and adults only situated on a wonderful beach. The rooms are great and well looked after. We had a pool room which was lovely. The staff are all great and can't do enough for you. When more umbrellas on the beach they were supplied very quickly. My one moan was that the changing room provided to change prior to departure only had cold water. Otherwise everything was first class. HM Bangsak Vilage, เจ้าของธุรกิจ at Bangsak Village, responded to this review Dear SusanjmorThank you very much for choosing Bangsak Village once again and for your wonderful review. We are truly delighted to welcome you back for your fourth visit and to hear that you enjoyed our adults-only concept, beautiful beach, well-maintained rooms, and your pool room stay. Your kind words about our team mean a great deal to us, and we’re pleased to know we could assist you promptly with the beach umbrellas.Thank you also for your feedback regarding the changing room. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again for your fifth visit in the future.Warm regards,Srivika BHotel manager

    Avoid Coco-Chalet 103

    rating24 Jan 2026

Firstly, I should explain the title here - when we were shown into 103, everything was as expected, however, after we’d both visited the toilet, we noticed a smell that we both denied causing! We realised after the 1st day it was definitely a drainage issue; if the toilet hadn’t been flushed for a few hours it was ok but, once flushed, up came the smell! We spoke to reception and they accompanied us back & experienced the whiff. They offered to 1) Get housekeeping to have a look and 2) If problem wasn’t resolved they could relocate us the following day once the current guests had moved out. Housekeeping taped up the small drain cover in the toilet & put a candle diffuser thing next to it with dettol in the top - this did help, but there’s clearly an issue here, which we suspect they know about but can’t resolve. To be fair, the smell didn’t spread anywhere else - not from the sink, bath or shower, so clearly on the outlet pipe from the toilet, so I took the executive decision to stay put, rather than faff with re-packing. Other than that, the room was fine; comfy bed although the pillows were too soft for us. A couple of things worth mentioning, though, is one, because the coco-chalets are positioned around the pool, there’s little privacy as you can see into them from the poolside. The other thing is lack of storage - the wardrobe has hanging space & 3 fairly narrow shelves that have raffia baskets in. Tbh, we managed ok. Also worth noting if you have mobility issues is the 5 steps up to the room are reasonably deep & there’s no hand rail. The resort itself is a strong 4* - being adult only, it was wonderfully quiet. Most clientele were middle aged; a mix of Germans, English & probably Russians. We totally agreed with a previous post about the irritating habit of many guests reserving sun beds. It’s true that there are plenty on both the beach & around the pool but, naturally, some have preferable positions, depending on whether you want sun or shade. There is a notice requesting guests not to reserve them, that’s totally ignored and not policed by the staff, hence the problem. There are beach towels allocated per person, and to change them you have to take them back to reception - I suspect this is to prevent people stockpiling towels and reserving beds in both sun and shade/ pool and beach. As all the towels were brown, once you noticed different colours ie. using their own towels as well, you guessed this was what the oiks were doing anyway! The beach is glorious - kilometre after kilometre of beautiful sand and, because it’s tidal, nice & firm to walk on. Some days the waves were challenging but mostly invigorating rather than dangerous, unless you’re not a confident swimmer. The pool is a lovely size.We ate in the hotel a few times & it was fine; however, turn left on the beach & there are immediately 3 restaurants. Our favourite was Pine Trees - Bosey was a lovely hostess & it’s really good, authentic Thai food. We intended having lunch in the next one, Blue Seas, but unfortunately took a dislike to the owner immediately putting music on, which was some bloody awful American lounge, “easy-listening” drivel, and hovering over us while we perused the menu - we drank up & left! Also, every evening he had live music, which consisted of a guitarist wailing his way through the same repertoire every night - The Beatles, John Denver (yes, really!), Eric Clapton - unfortunately, you can hear this in PineTrees, so we knew what was coming after 10 days. The 3rd, Be Friend, is very popular with families, as it has a play area - it’s a different atmosphere to Pine Trees, less personable. We also followed previous recommendations on here to try Inganda, on the road outside - turn left out of the Hotel, cross the freeway, and it’s 5 minutes walk. Family run & great Thai food. Finally, if you walk past the 3 nearest beach restaurants, Outrigger & Avani & go round the rocks, there’s a super little restaurant called MaMa Mr. Lek - you walk over a rickety bridge to an elevated restaurant, nice breeze, and fabulous food - and dirt cheap. There are massage places everywhere, even in the restaurants! We both used Mai Tai’s (turn right from the hotel with the sea on your lhs ) and would recommend. You pass through Khao Lak en route from the airport - whilst the hotel have a shuttle bus, we couldn’t see it was somewhere we needed to visit!A few observations for the management - whilst we saw staff raking up the huge leaves on the beach, all they did then was empty them against the far end of the sun beds, inviting them to return with the sea breeze! Also, it would be nice to be offered water on the beach, as we’ve experienced at most beach resorts. As mentioned, it would be a better experience for all guests if the sun beds were monitored to stop people reserving them. And finally, whilst the staff were mostly friendly, we agreed with a previous post that they lack motivation. The only one we actually tipped at the end was the bartender, Ruk - he was generally on the beach bar for happy hour and would happily bring the drinks to your bed.Sorry for the long review - we would definitely hope to return at some time - just not no.103! HM Bangsak Vilage, เจ้าของธุรกิจ at Bangsak Village, responded to this review Dear jan59EssexThank you very much for your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your suggestions and would like to assure you that we have taken them seriously.Regarding the odor issue in Coco-Chalet 103, this has already been fully resolved. Currently, the room is in high demand and requested by many guests. We value your comments as they help us improve our services, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again in the future.Best regardsSrivika BHotel Manager

Lovely Thai Hotel on a Stunning Beach!

    rating29 Dec 2025

We spent 2 of our 3 weeks in Khao Lak at this resort which is set pretty central on an absolutely stunning beach, where you can take long beach walks in both directions, with sufficient restaurant stops along the way for a cold beer or a snack or a meal. We absolutely loved it! It's relatively small compared to many similar hotel/resorts in the area (which we prefer) and as a result it is quiet and peaceful. You are surrounded by gardens and trees and the sounds of birds and the pool area is stunning. The staff were all very friendly and all seemed very happy in their jobs. There are a couple of small supermarket type shops 10-20 minutes walk away which will provide everything you should need. The hotel restaurant food was very good, I would say a step up from the local restaurants and we took advantage of their weekly seafood/fish nights and the steak nights, which were fabulous. For us, it was a perfect beach/feet in the sand type of holiday and we would definitely return again. HM Bangsak Vilage, เจ้าของธุรกิจ at Bangsak Village, responded to this review Dear jenbenScotlandThank you very much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed our peaceful atmosphere, beautiful beach, gardens, and dining experiences. It’s wonderful to know our team helped make your stay special. We truly appreciate your kind words and look forward to welcoming you back again.Best regardsBangsak Village Team
